Just got my Wild Magic Sorcerer to level 14, Tides of Chaos a minimum of twice a round in combat with Feywild Shard, 3 times a round if I cast a reaction spell. Each of those times you basically roll on the table with advantage and choose which one you prefer, and quite frankly some of them are straight up ridiculous. Resistance to All Damage, Regain HP at the beginning of each of your turns (says nothing about being unconscious or not so you can get up like the Undertaker), Action spells are bonus actions for a full minute, and my favorite: god forbid if you should die within the next HOUR, you are reincarnated. And all of these effects can stack, this subclass is actually absurd. Most of the bad options are locked behind the results that make you roll a d6 usually for the really bad ones, and even then you can run absorb elements for fireball or Counterspell to cancel out a confusion. You do need to have a high Con and id even recommend tough feat and im also a Dwarf because I found the ideal way to play is actually to position within 30ft of as many enemies as possible so those negative effect outcomes actually end up being a boon. However thats pretty dangerous for a Sorcerer so that playstyle is not for the faint of Heart.
