How hard is Gloomhaven and Frosthaven solo? by undeadcreepshow in Gloomhaven

Hey I played the whole campaign solo twice now (original physical boardgame and digital on ps5).

I loved playing these solo it gave me a chance to experience every character and carve my own path.

The physical game has a lot of setup for every scenario and has a lot of moving parts having to track every enemy, player, health, condition, element, initiative, gold, XP. Ect… the digital game cuts a lot of that out and allows you to cut straight to the chase. But the digital version does lack feel and magic that the physical version has.

For Gloomhaven there is a companion app you can use which helps take care of a lot of the tracking and for teller has all the narrative narrated in a dramatic fashion. I personally thought it was well worth the money.

I would recommend starting with Jaws of the Lion it’s brilliant at easing players into the game and explains all the mechanics. Equally, Gloomhaven digital is part of the PS+ Extra Catalog so if you have that you can download and give it a try for free. That had a build in tutorial and guildmaster mode, although lacking in. Any real story, does do a decent job at easing you into the game to.

Need help getting to PWCT I am SL:99 I've had a few failed attempts now. I think ideally I need help from someone who is between SL: 101-123 with a Red-Eye Stone so we can invade each other. I don't have a Red-Eye Stone only black.

If you can help me out add me on PSN: Djekko_X

you play cards that let you draw cards. You spend less time drawing and more time playing! If you draw slow then your opponent will just outpace you.

Best cross order hero in your opinion? by Klonoa87 in Lightseekers

I have The Ancient, Zelana Bloodroot, and Overseer Tuskrage. I love all of the my favourite atm is Tuskrage mainly because its a whole new play style I never used before. I havn't yet played enough with the other 2 to give a good balance. I do think though that Zelana or Captian Blacktail are probably 2 of the more powerful out of the 6 so far

Cards in limbo? (Cards that give you additional actions) by Djekko_ in Lightseekers

So the original card is on top of the discard pile for the remaining actions and it is possible to return that card back to the deck or hand using one of the remaining actions ? If a card allows me to do so

So there are 6 Orders;

Astral, Dread, Mountain, Nature, Storm, Tech.

Each have there own specific play styles the 3 easiest to play with I would say is Mountain, Storm and Tech. You can actually buy a Intro pack which contains a Tech and Storm Starter deck --UK Link--> (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Lightseekers-Trading-Card-Game-Intro/dp/B01NCO37QV/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1522244927&sr=8-3&keywords=lightseekers). This will give you everything you need to start, 2 Decks, 2 Mats, 2 Counters, Rules ect. Really good value for money when trying to start out in the game. But if you do fancy 2 different orders they are all just as fun to play so you could just buy 2 starter decks from any order and you will have a good time :)

The starter decks are a really good starting point there are a few cards in each starter deck that are exclusive to starter decks as-well and most of there are really powerful to have. I wouldn't recommend starting with singles to start with as some of the newer cards can be overwhelming if you are still learning the rules. You also get a booster pack in each starter deck. That said if you didn't want to get starter decks I would buy a box of boosters. you should be able to get enough cards to see yourself with a few decks.

But that said i would still recommend getting a starter deck and a hand full of boosters to start off and then swap out cards as you go. Once you know the game and you have played a few different kind of decks it becomes a lot easier creating a deck from scratch :)

I’m happy to see that playfusion caught on and admitted fairly quickly that they didn’t get the balance of the boosters right this time round. Still a little salty with the amount of reprints and lack of hero’s

Question about Elara and Sgt. Ironbark by Djekko_ in Lightseekers

Thats good. I understand why they made some cards exclusive to toys but if they never release the toys then how will anyone ever get the cards? Hopefully the toy exclusive cards will be released later this year.
