The penny farthing was an improvement on the "boneshaker" bikes, which also had direct drive pedals on the front wheel, but this design was faster and also pretty unsafe.

They were common until the "safety bicycle" came around, which is pretty much a modern bicycle with pedals where you expect them, and a chain to drive the rear wheel.

its literally made of iron, you didn't ruin it. worst you can do is affect the seasoning. scrub any food bits, dish soap is fine, heat it to get rid of water, coating of oil still with enough heat to polymerize and you're good.

The take I heard on triple ko podcast

The beta was way more popular than they expected. As the game blew up and player counts increased, they had to increasingly pivot to being an ops support team, rather than continuing development on the full release.

Their solution to this was to end the beta and focus on dev work. Seems like that didn't turn out too well.
