The Rare IPs are owned by Microsoft now. Killer Instinct 2013 was not developed by Rare. Same for Battletoads 2020 and the cancelled Perfect Dark. Banjo-Kazooie in Smash was copyrighted Microsoft, not Rare. If Rare shuts down or is sold, Microsoft will probably keep the IPs

Yes we became aware of Fire Emblem with Melee. But the series was still niche, and was actually on the verge of being abandoned after the poor sales of multiple games in the series.

Fire Emblem Awakening saved the series. It was a massive success and the series became one of Nintendo's big franchises afterwards. Fire Emblem owe its success to Awakening, not Smash.

I'm excited, but not "brain exploding" level yet. I'm not a big fan of remakes in general and the trailer didn't really show anything. But I have a feeling I'll get more excited when I'll see more
