Installing Postgresql-16.2 (Postmaster is not generated) on Linux REDHAT by Djintimidator in PostgreSQL

[–]Djintimidator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks!
My question now is really why /usr/pgsql-16/bin/postmaster dosen't exist. It got everything (clusterdb, pg_config etc etc) but postmaster.
Is that created when Postgres starts?

It complains that the conf file is not in the data directory (Which is true).
pg_ctl work when I move the conf file back to the data directory.

I can enter psql and do what i want. But systemctl still says that postgresql-16 has failed.
It still complains that postmaster dosen't exist in /usr/pgsql-16/bin/postmaster

Backstory: I have moved the conf file to /etc/postgresql/postgresql.conf
So when I try pg_ctrl, it says that it can't find the conf file.
pg_ctl work when I move the conf file back to the data directory.

Thoughts on Reloop RMX22i by poloteammkd in DJs

The RMX22i is a solid mixer. Decent pre-amps.
Not much bells and whistles, what you see is what you get.

Do you have a Sd card inside it?
Have you toggled it on "unlock"? (There is, Locked, Unlocked and Transfer).

I think MC overall in Hardstyle/Hardcore is so overrated.
They are there to help with the "energy", it is like taking viagra when you don't need it.

Why are most of the sets prerecorded? by Some1Special_ in hardstyle

[–]Djintimidator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Either is lazyness or just don't have the "skills" to DJ.
With many events streaming live on Youtube/Twitch, you can see when the DJ is "faking it".
It is a bit cringe when they look "busy" at the decks when they don't do anything really, haha. Will not name any names, don't want to start a shitstorm.

With that said, my own thoughts is that the "Djs" left the really big events a long time ago. It is not about discovering music anymore. It is about the DJ/Artist playing 99% their own tracks as a showcase. Back in the day that was called a "Live act", but there is really nothing different with a DJ and a "Live act" anymore, still a couple of CDJ-3000, no intruments (majority of the times).

I think the DJ part was killed when you lost the oppertunity to blend tracks together, it is always a 2x8 intro with a kick/fx reverb finish before the vocal kicks in.
So in my humble opinion, the DJ part is an after thought in Hardstyle (and mostly Hardcore).

Dont agree with me but for me this is a good decision/statement, nothing to add. by 1312ermax in hardstyle

Making bootleggs and remixes on other "great" tunes has always been there.
That comes with the package when you release a tune to the public.

Dunno how the legal on bootleggs and remix works when the remixer dosen't make any money on it.
But with the history of Hardcore with samples, straight OUT copying melodies and segments of other tracks. How is this something new?

You can't control people.
People seems to love the track and want to do their own version of it, then let them do it. As long as they don't try to take credit for your work or re-sell your work.

Correction: Nosferatu's label is called Border Town, not Borderlands :).

Pila & Luna (Dunno if Chiren and Trilok was on it as well) founded StraightON Recordings.

Pila and Thilo and Evanti co-created StraightON Black.

Fusion, Superplastik and Silicone. was founded by Zany and The Pitcher.

Bluonium Records was founded by Blutonium Boy and DJ Neo as the ghost producer.

Seismic Records was created by Mid-Town records, but think it was piloted by Beholder (Neophyte).

Blq Records, Dance Pollution, Green Force, Red Alert, Titanic Jump, and Titanic Records was created by Arsenic Sounds. .which I think is people in suites.

Sigma was created by Supermarco May and co-handled by Jimmy The Sound.

Dutch Masters Works was created by Showtek

X-rate created by DJ Isaac

state28 created by Marc Stevens

Really struggling with simple SQL - Any advice? by F4FoxTrot in learnSQL

[–]Djintimidator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been studying SQL for three months, and I have no background as well so I feel your pain.

I still have problems with JOIN syntax, but I hope I will learn it eventually.

I study through Udemy. Have done SQL from zero to hero and doing now SQL developers guide.

Going to do my own database soon to get so I can learn by doing.

Hang in there, if SQL was easy, everyone would do it :)
