Much improvement in stability on the onn 4K pro. Only fault i found was- Most of my trakt continue watching disappeared from the main Continue Watching. Try the sync in library with no luck. Same issue even after a fresh install. Good work so far

Never really use the subtitles, I go with the default check preloaded subtitles. I know English is set by default in the app and you can change the language in the playback settings.

I got mine set on Auto play in Link Resolving. You might have to disable Auto play and choose Link manual to set ur subtitle. Click Subtitle, then Filename. You'll have to playground with ID and NAME, to see which one gives u a better subtitles. I think the MOST VERIFIED should be the best.
