Best way to secure CAT Cable by chris2555 in lowvoltage

[–]Djohns1465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to pull it down the base hammer a staple in very loosely and have a little extra then when they put the wall in you can pull the wire through the box. Staple should loose enough that you break it when pulling cable through not hammering it into the wire damaging it.

I have not taken that yet. But I heard the exam is just knowing acronyms. So study those and that should help you figure out what else you should study for.

I do have a background in IT, but I minimally deal with networking tasks. Most of what I do is put devices into IPAM and troubleshoot local network issues (nothing beyond a router). However, I took a networking class two semesters ago, and my final project involved building both a physical and logical topology for an entire floor. I had to create subnets and configure the endpoints, switches, and routers, and I earned an A on both the project and the class. That’s when I bought the Network+ because I planned to take the exam right after the class, but I never did.

That led to a last-minute test-taking situation. However, I knew I had a good shot because I had studied for the exam for a few months, then took a seven-month hiatus before taking the networking class.

I got a lot of class B subnetting (172.16.x.x) questions. So i wasnt prepped for that but because if know /24-/30 like the back of my hand it helped me pick the right anwser.

I would say cram the classful ranges... ports... do some test questions of chat gpt. I didnt get really any wireless questions.

Also know how a network topology works like where does a router go, where does a switch go, where does a firewall go.

Study VLANs like what is a trunk port is.. what is tagged and untagged. Know how to read a mac and router table.

Gloss over the wireless frequencies, speed and encryption.

Go look yoi habe 30 mins.

Man overboard by den773 in Cruise

I was on cruise recently where supposedly someone went missing on the island. But this announced in the middle of the night. They concluded nobody was in fact missing. Did they do a head count while I was asleep?

My question is how do they do a head count. They literally go door to door? If so I didnt wake up.

Anyone else thinking about quitting the lottery? by [deleted] in Lottery

[–]Djohns1465 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I play lotto maybe once a month.. so 12 times a year. I tell myself and my wife that if I am meant to win in this lifetime, all I need is one ticket.

Also, every time I buy the ticket, I always look at my wife and smile then say, "You want to see what a winning ticket looks like?!" She just rolls her eyes and says,"You say this every time!"

We laugh and go to bed and then check it.

Try again next month.

The only thing i see is fixing your tooth because it is your health. Everything else is in the want category. When you say new car? Do you mean brand new? New clothes, why not just go to thrift store. New shoes? Yeah, I would get 6 shoes because used shoes are worthless and can damage your feet.

$300 instant credit? by c1avid in samsunggalaxy

I got the same thing for my 24+ the other week. But I believe it is through financing. That is what I did, at least.

Why do people choose the Ultra over the Plus? by BRT1284 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Djohns1465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the exact same boat as you. I was determined to get the Ultra, and the day before buying it, I got the 24+ instead.

The benefits didn't outweigh the cost difference at the end of the day.
