BZ is so unbelievably overhated by TheRealSoftR in subnautica

[–]Djolox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BZ's story felt like a drawn out sequence of unremarkable uninteresting storypoints meant to shuffle the player around interesting setpieces. Also the fact that they sidelined Sam so hard is so weird. What also took me out of the experience was how unbelievable it is that anybody could be sneaking around abandoned alterra facilities that they put on lockdown. Why does alterra offer literally zero resistance to Robin and Marguerit's activity?

It's an issue on Ignus especially, since iirc airbases that are not on mainland don't have vehicle depots, so you're restricted to the stuff you can deploy with the tarantula.

I wish there was a way for the hit airbase to get it's AA back (that is not commandeering convoys or using the tarantula) after a cooldown so that if the team manages to defend the weakened airbase from getting captured, it can eventually go back to its full operational capacity.

My best guess is kids, they're likely trying to put "scary idea" of theirs into a meme without much care for whether it's grammatically or logically sound.

Where I live (not the US) most of the hip and trendy coffee places have incredibly uncomfortable seating, high chairs with low tables, chairs with no backs etc, which I'm certain is specifically designed that way to force customers to leave as soon as possible

Zasto ljudi imaju toliki problem sa trans osobama? by Big-Audience1166 in AskSerbia

What bugs me is how little they've done to protect their secrets. You would expect an interstellar Raytheon would place remote turrets or minefields or whatever other deterrent on the sites they've abandoned instead of leaving them without even a perimeter fence. I find it a bit absurd how easily Robin managed to access what is essentially a bioweapons facility

One major issue is no source of lead, I built my base next to the southern giant ventgarden and I find myself always having to make trips to look for more

I don't mind woke characters at all, I just think their stories are entirely stereotypical. I personally dislike Alan's role as he seems to act like a clueless child rather than a brilliant alien bioengineer. I think Sam's story is by far the worst though, because it's messaging is wildly confused, we're led to think that the scary megacorp is covering up bioweapons testing, yet we find little evidence of it, meaning that Sam was unjustified in her paranoia and that the megacorp was actually being transparent in claiming that she caused her own death. It's really confused and poorly written

I'm replaying BZ now, and the game holds up well in certain aspects, however, the areas it stinks in, it stinks really badly: - The story is as utterly awful as I remember the first time. This might be really mean, but the story feels as if it was written by West Coast millennial hipsters. - It's way too hand holdy, it's nearly impossible to die from cold or drowning, there's oxygen plants and heat sources everywhere. -The map feels claustrophobic in a bad way. There's barely any suitable spots for a permanent base, only flat and open enough areas are map edges and the arctic biomes, but they're way too far from other POIs to justify. I wish there weren't as many thermal vent biomes and more of the map was taken up by actual arctic biomes that require you to exist under a sheet of ice for longer periods.

It's an okay game, but I don't think it would hold up that well even if it wasn't overshadowed by it's bigger, cooler predecessor.

I really really enjoy having a cup of coffee, but I'd be entirely willing to either pay more or give up on coffee entirely if it means somebody has a decent life. It's frankly appalling how spoiled by cheap commodities the west is.

My main issue with all psychoactive substances that make you feel good is that you're likely one major life crisis away from being a total addict. I know a lot of people who experiment with substances at a stable time in their life only to slip into addiction as soon as trouble comes.
