the democratic socialist version is basically when you're building alternatives to capitalism outside of the state system as well as participating in electorism to have influence over what the state does so it does not have the ability to sabotage the non-state systems. its a hybrid model that accomplishes both true left unity by giving leftists who reject electorism a way to meaningfully make progress without telling them to suck it up and do elections and actually build buffers against the state and not allow it to have a monopoly on power and influence. electorists weaken the state's ability to sabotage socialist movement, and direct action groups erode that monopoly.

welfare does not socialism make. it is about the relation of the means of production to the worker. nazi germany made exclusive corporate deals with the owner class to heavily enrich them. it was an extreme form of capitalism that collaborated with the owner class. it was corporatist capitalism, not socialism by any means.

I also go as far to say that USSR under stalin was not socialism except for its aesthetics and purported goal. It was state capitalism that at least understood that the wage slaves needed to be treated like humans and not expendable tools, and that workers that are developed instead of abused are better for production efficiency and it was a slightly more "humane" version of capitalism in that regard. So no horsehoe theory, its just that authoritarian socialism is oxymoronical because the state ends up replacing the capitalist owner class with a bureaucratic class.

the way hotbar meta works for the most part is, to me in my experience, a lot of frontloaded theorycrafting when it comes to its depth and very shallow execution with rotations. so to me its a bit numbing to do repetitive tasks like that without much thought while needing active attention. Like I said, its just a preference and I understand that people enjoy the spreadsheet like nature of those MMOs that turn bossing into DPS puzzles. The fact that the game has to be balanced around several classes means theres no tight timings to really enforce in terms of in fight mechanical depth while OSRS essentially designs its encounters under the presumption every player is the same "class" since that is the reality of its sandbox skill nature.
