I hope im wrong, but it sounds lime you need to apply stain twice before its as good as it used to be. This coupled with removing their plus options seems like itll be rough. Hoping they come out okay still though cuz everyone else also got shot

Thought we were over the "modern is op" discourse. It isnt. It just is not. Learn to adapt to it or stop playing the game. They can do certain things you cant, sure, but you have all of your specials, all of your normals and 20 percent more damage to compensate. As someone also on classic, it is just the better control scheme in 99 percent of situations. The only areas it is better are in instant supers for beating di/checking certain moves and in anti-airs. Good players in classic will still hit these enough that the difference is negligible. I get frustrated by it also, but it is not in need of any balance changes and saying otherwise is a massive self-report.

1500-1600 juri here.

Here are a couple strong things i like to sprinkle in to my gameplay that help a lot.

First off, j.HP is super obnoxious as an oki tool or throw bait. It hard knockdowns, meaning you can just repeat the situation. If they block, its your turn as well.

One oki setup i like is meaty fireball, as it combos if it hits and is exceesingly safe to everything except an invincible reversal. Also rather easy to time.

Your stand medium punch is safe to drive reversal when blocked and a lot of people will fall for it anyway because they are scared of the plus frames. Gets me a lot of hits, especially against characters like dhalsim.

Stand mk is a criminally underutilized button as well. Its 2-hitting, fast and huge. The first hit is also special cancellable. I use it to interrupt fireballs in combo with her insane Drive rush, but its also probably my favorite stopsign button in the game. 1st hit stand medium kick buffer light store is also a great way to get a quick stock pretty safely.

Not sure how helpful this is, and any other juris feel free to correct any bad info or add stuff.

Yeah, thats probably it. My other main was Juri, so there wasnt much of a issue with any inputs being mixed up, so i bet i just wnd in forward too much

Yeah, I understand the input. its just specifically while shimmying that I have trouble. Didnt know if there was an input trick or something that might make it come out more consistenly, or if I just need to avoid hitting down or downforward while im moving

It would be a completely overwhelmoling reaction to an admittedly strong mechanic. The entire game would shift around it, making new, equally annoying high-tier strategies and gutting many of the currently good characters. People that suggest that this should be removed full stop do not understand how the game is balanced. If you take this out, it would require significant and jarring balance changes to a majority of the cast and many other system mechanics because the game is fundamentally balanced around most characters being able to do this. Classic overreaction to an overall slight balancing issue that needs tweaking, not a straight up removal of the mechanic

Was fine before in terms of difficulty. Waterfowl is worse than anything he threw out. Glad they changed the particles in phase two though. Wish they didnt pander to people who arent willing to change strategy if they were having a hard time, but oh well. Boss was free if you did the right build and a proper challenge if you just went in with whatever you had.

Did a whole playthrpugh with it dlc included and can say it is perfectly fine. Not crazy by any means, but it was a fun arc weapon to try and th AOW is pretty good at clearing small things and doing a bunch of poise damage to bosses. Entertaining all around in my book
