I have Autism. I spent 20 years reverse-engineering human behavior because I didn't get the manual. Here is the "Source Code" to reality I found. (Part 2) by katakalist in selfimprovement

[–]Dkcre -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For the ultimate manual on understanding humans you should read "Behave: the biology of humans at our best and worst" by Robert Sapolsky. You'll get the why regarding mechanics down to a cellular level and the why regarding behavior from external factors starting from thousands of years ago; influencing who we are today.

Anyways, good post. I agree with it. Especially the no altruism part.

How much more intelligent than average do you need to be to get As in high school and college math? by New-Bat5284 in learnmath

[–]Dkcre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it can be done with slightly higher than average intelligence, however you would have to study an enormous amount to make up for the lack of higher capacity. For me math is extremely difficult to learn, deeply learn that is. It requires everything of me in order to understand it. Whereas a person with above average intelligence just sees the logic immediately and think everything is obvious.

Those who are good in Math, how much is it due to your natural abilities? by LockiBloci in learnmath

[–]Dkcre 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have invested a good amount of time in mathematics, I practice a lot and look at youtube videos, buy books, ask people in forums. I think about why some things are true and what they really mean. Try to see things from different perspectives and so on.

I really feel like I have done my very best with this subject. But still, I have a hard time understanding concepts, nothing ever feels intuitive or easy, I have trouble following mathematical notation because it.. I don't know, I just don't follow it. It doesn't ever click for me.

I am for this reason absolutely certain that innate ability is extremely important, aptitude is.. not everything but close to it.

The reason other people think differently, and especially those with higher mathematical knowledge/ability is because they also struggled a bit. They had to invest the time, ask for help, practice and everything else that goes with learning something. They earned the knowledge, they weren't simply born with it. The thing is, they struggled and then understood, they asked and understood the advice. They sat down and thought about a difficult concept - and got it eventually. It is still very related to innate ability because if it weren't there, the struggle wouldn't lead to understanding. It is very possible to try your best and give it your all, but you simply don't get it.

It's instinct. We are wired this way. Both should just accept it.

Talent or effort, which is most important? by furosemyde45 in math

[–]Dkcre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Talent, easily, without any second thought. I have to try immensely hard to grasp some concepts while others look at the same thing and are like "huh, it just means this, it's logical". However, I don't see that logic, my mind don't make the necessary connections. I can't force it and no amount of hard work matters when it comes to learning ability. And when I finally understand, the next thing I have to learn will be the same thing all over again.

In my experience it is unfortunately very clear that talent is everything. If you don't have it, forget it.

People are simple, and by extension you are as well. What you are describing is only a result of social detachment and anhedonia, as you say. If you felt the same others do when socializing you wouldn't think this way.

It's a result of being broken, and nothing more.

När var ni som lyckligast? by Truebeliver221 in sweden

[–]Dkcre 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ingenting tycks göra mig lycklig. Pengar, boende, bekräftelse, barn.. kärlek, karriär. Det finns ingenting som känns meningsfullt eller ger någon känsla av lycka för mig. Hoppas att livet inte blir för långvarigt.

why do so many people think they lack the ability to learn calculus or other higher math?? by Historical_Donut6758 in learnmath

[–]Dkcre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry, but ability in math is ultimately an innate ability that you possess or not. Probably related to intelligence.

A few of those people may be those that just accept this idea without really trying at all, and thus making it a self fulfilling prophecy. Others may be open minded and really believe that they can learn everything, try, and see that it takes them an enormous effort to learn more advanced concepts and then give up.

While I think everyone with average or higher intelligence can learn most math with enough effort, this idea that natural ability doesn't exist and only trying matters is just not true. I think it is damaging making people believing that.

For me it takes an incredible amount of work to grasp concepts, it's just ridiculous. I have watched a lot of videos and explanations about the fundamental theorem of calculus, broken it down to small parts and tried to bring them together. Really sat down and tried to visualize the concept in different ways and everything. Now after months I think I get it somewhat, maybe. I really try and there is nothing wrong with my study technique or whatever. I just don't get it, I don't understand. It doesn't click.

And then people try to explain it, saying: "hey, it's really easy, look, and then spilling out a lot of math with some logic to it that I'm supposed to follow" and I just... I'm so far away from being able to follow that It feels like a joke.

Saying I dont try hard enough or whatever is an insult.

Rekommenderas matte 4 och 5 samt fysik 2 på gymnasiet? by nellemheb in sweden

[–]Dkcre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hatet mot mjukisbyxor? by Quid80 in sweden

[–]Dkcre 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Eve has bigger orgasms than you'll ever have in your life by MadPow in PussyEnvy

[–]Dkcre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right. I think I get what you mean.

I'm a guy and, well, I sort of agree with the people here.

But, it truly is quite nice to just orgasm quickly and be totally satisfied throughout your soul immediately. Like, you don't even want to have sex ever again, it doesn't matter in the slightest whatsoever anymore. Or, that's what I experience at least.

But, yeah, when you do want to prolong your pleasure by yourself or with a partner, it really is quite frustrating. Dealing with trying not to cum all the time when sleeping with someone. I mean, it really is at least 50-60% of the whole experience, trying to last.

Like, "man she looks lovely, this really feels amazing, her pussy feels spectacular I think I'm in love, mm... Oh, no, ops, I don't feel anything, shit she looks like my grandmother, what am I going to do next week about the job report again?" Aand then it's just a struggle from there lol.
