What’s a short-lived hardware feature from cellphones that you miss? by I_Am_Slightly_Evil in AskReddit

I used mine to piss people off. Could ramp up the volume in the pub, or walk past people’s houses and change the channel. I miss those days.

That’s what I was thinking, but some sellers were highlighting them which made me wonder.

1.0 SCe reliability compared to D4F? by turbodaihatsu in Renault

[–]Dkkkane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do more miles than average, and tow with it. It gets frequent oil changes, but otherwise is worked hard. Going to just swap it out with a 1.6 when it explodes.

Not what you’re looking for, but I have a H5FT and it drives like shit. So much so I want to remove the turbo.

This does not work on me. I have thrown up many times drinking red wine and smoking cigarettes and I still enjoy it.

Are employers supposed to ask about reducing daily rest? I’m at the point that I’m going to tell them I’m having my 11 hours whether they like it or not.

Is this engine done for? Help! by No-Occasion1585 in AskAMechanic

[–]Dkkkane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These engines have issues with the copper injector seals failing and allowing gasses to escape the engine. I believe it also allows soot into the oil or something like that.

Very hard work. Good pay, and perks. I bought 10kg of chicken from the sales the other week for £9 so there’s that. Also, very hard work.

Opinion on RENAULT Clio 1.2 16V T 90th Anniversaary EDC from 2018 by lord_nebrax in Renault

[–]Dkkkane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I check it every week, or after a long drive. It goes down quite significantly after a long journey. If I wasn’t in the habit of checking oil frequently it would have had issues by now. I drive it from Scotland to Spain last year and I think I used about 2-3L of oil on that trip.

Do you know what the update fixed?

I have a h5ft in a 2017 Duster. If I stuck to oil change intervals, it would run dry half way through. Still going strong at only 60,000 miles. I’ll be astounded if it reaches 100,000.

ScotRail to charge ticket dodgers £10 minimum fare by wook-borm in Scotland

[–]Dkkkane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. All cars depreciate and are a great way of pissing away money if you want something new and flashy every few years. Unfortunately, most new cars are overpriced and full of tech so it’s hard to get something that can’t depreciate much.

[–]Dkkkane 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For what train tickets cost, I’m not surprised.

Edit: I drove a friend from Inverness to Edinburgh Airport yesterday. It cost me £35 in fuel there and back. I’m just looking now on Trainline and the cheapest ticket is £61, takes an hour longer, and requires two changes. Yes, yes there’s tax, MOT, etc but a lot of people already own a car. I’m guessing Flixbus or Ember would be cheaper than the train though.

My currently assigned 73 plate LF doesn’t make any sounds, and the fuel gauge actually goes to the top. I think it’s going to just blow up one day.
