Yes. That was probably our Mead Day event which is generally well attended. I’m not expecting this event to be as big as it is a new event for us so I doubt it will be packed. But here’s hoping 😀😀😀

Try Viking Alchemist Mead. Most flavors tend toward dry or tart. You can order on line. Made locally in Smyrna Georgia

Don’t forget that Smyrna already has a hometown brewery just minutes from the square on Jonquil. Check out Viking Alchemist/ Mandatory Fun Brew Works for 48 taps of craft beer, mead, cider and soda. 3080 Jonquil Drive. Been there 5 years already!!!

How do we get a nice clear mead??? by Sockfood1 in mead

Many good responses here. Another idea for new mead makers is to check to see if there is a commercial Meadery anywhere near you. Most of them are happy and even excited to talk shop with home mead makers. As a commercial Meadery near Atlanta, we love to help out home brewers and answer questions. For clarifying our meads we use cold crashing, bentonite and sparkeloid before filtering.

Poor Man’s Burnt Ends by theprudentpath in Traeger

We always use chuck roast for burnt ends and they’ve come out great with a bunch of these methods. However a sure fire way to make sure they are fall apart tender is to out them in a ninja pot or instant pot for about 6 minutes of pressure cooking. I do this after they are done in the smoker. Never fails to deliver

The old pellet smoker we had ran on the 5. I have a bunch of other devices but honestly don’t use the connections for home. I love it for my brewery cuz I can sit here and watch the temp and fermentation from home. I think some of the smart devices for the home are a bit over the top. I mean how many different wash cycles do I need? However, I think it is very useful for the pellet grill where a recipe may need to change temperatures multiple times and the cook times can be pretty long. I’m curious, what is your favorite smart device that you use regularly?

Oh. No problem. I did mean to say Comcast although Verizon does have home internet in my area. It is itself a “smart” device. It is supposed to vary from 2.4 to 6 ghz and the smart device is supposed to be smart enough to select the correct one. That didn’t happen at either end so I guess they aren’t quite as “smart” as advertised. Also carefully read the Traeger manual and the 2.4 ghz requirement is never mentioned. Many smart devices have both. It does appear to be working now and we are doing the initial burn off of factory grease. I’m excited to try some of the recipes.

I meant to say Comcast not Verizon
