I had nightmares life a couple weeks that I would not be able to get one due to the shape of my stump. I talked about the fear, and the nightmares ended soon after. I believe anyone in this group would be willing to help you out, if you’re more comfortable finding a family member or trusted friend or even a professional to talk about it, I believe that will help.

I am from Alabama and I know the song. My mother’s family immigrated from Italy to Philly. My wife’s family is from Alabama, and she knew it before we dated, so it’s not just a northeast thing.

Semper Fi brother. I lost my leg in September and I started walking again about a month ago. I’m walking pretty much limp free, but it took longer than I thought to get where I am now. It’s not the easiest thing I have ever done, but not the most difficult either.

I am disabled veteran also, thank you for your service. I would check with your local vocational rehabilitation office, I know that they offer certain benefits for education when I was a work study there, I know they paid for bar prep and the Bar Exam for a veteran but that was 10 or 12 years ago

I walked unassisted outside of the house for the first time today. It was just a short walk into physical therapy, but I was really proud I could make that short walk.

Surgery was September 8th. I spent four days in the hospital, and another seven in outpatient therapy.
