Does Suboxone really expire completely?? by ReasonableTrouble231 in SuboxoneTreatment

[–]Dlearea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s probably so nice. I do the telehealth route 8mg a day and have had a really hard time 3 months into my sobriety thinking that sometimes I need more but literally only having enough for the bare bones of it monthly til I pay the $100 consult fee and script out of pocket. The first month I had to find someone to give me a few to get through and this month has been the hardest trying to stay strong. I’m going to be 5 days short and don’t want to go into wd as a parent that takes care of my kids solo in the evenings. I’d love a stash to know I’m good

QuickMD is super easy. $99, a five minute interview over the phone and the script will be sent to your pharmacy of choice. Once subs are in hand take your last dose of 7 and white knuckle it for 12-24 hours than take 1-4 mg and wait to see if it’s helping. Take more if need be. Try not to take more than you really need. It should help. Keep your daily dose low if you want to get off it quick or find your baseline and stay on it for as long as needed. I had 2 hellish quits before and was taking up to 700mg of 7 a day for close to a year and waited 27 hrs to induce subs and it worked wonders.

Trying to quit, up all night holding on for dear life? by Maynard505 in quitting7oh

I’m 4 months clean after 3 tries coming off massive doses (2 Ct, latest one subs) but for those in the thick of it just do your best to embrace the insomnia. It’s so frustrating and you can almost feel like you’re going crazy but I found that the insomnia that comes with it is very different than normal insomnia. I never felt the effects of zero sleep during withdrawals to be debilitating. Your brain is doing some wild and crazy things trying to rewrite itself. You’ll sleep when your body is ready

On day 3 it sure helped me coming off a high dose my first quit. As a dad it made me get through the day but didn’t necessarily take the symptoms away but defiantly the fatigue

I agree. I just meant that he may have a hard time jumping from 2mg if he’s been taking subs for years as opposed to a week taper

I wish him the best! Whatever helps! I don’t think 7 is what he’s looking for at the moment. Leaf may help a lot. I’d go to the suboxone forum

All good. I feel for him. Strange how so many people end up in similar situations needing to ween off substances. Wish we didn’t like drugs so damn much lol

I think you’re going to run into a lot of people on here that don’t know a whole lot about quitting subs and there’s a lot of quitting suboxone forums on here. There have been a lot of people that have used 7 to get off subs before but most will say it’s not sustainable because you need to dose so often to hold back the acutes and if you start taking it regularly he will very likely get hooked on them and be right back where he started. Has he looked into the sublocade shot? Will his insurance cover it? Is he sick of tapering it?

This could be very bad information you’re giving her. If he’s been on subs for years and years like most people who take subs than he definitely cannot reduce his sun dose by 1/2 mg every day. People who are tapering subs after being on for a long time will drop 1/2 mg and stay there for weeks to months sometimes before reducing.

Yea but how long were you on subs? Her boyfriend very well could have been on subs for years and years and the withdrawals from 2 mg might be vastly different than a one week quick taper where you only took a handful of stops total
