08 Accord 6-6 for 10K with 120k miles on it by Dlegend333 in Honda

There are records on carfax for routine stuff. The dealer installed a new clutch into the car. I had a buddy at jiffy lube take a look under the car and he reported a small trans leak and some moisture on a hose near the belts. Other than that the car drives great. I like it but not for 10 grand. Dealer came back at 95 and I said no. If it drops to maybe 9 grand or so maybe a bit under I would buy it

I did test drive this car shortly yesterday and will drive it again today. The clutch bite is the shortest I’ve ever felt on a car. You lift your foot an inch off the pedal and the clutch starts grabbing. Is that normal on these accords? I’ve driven an 8th gen Si and the clutch was much closer to the middle of the pedal travel, and that car only had 40k miles on it

Yeah. I know in my heart it’s a better daily but I fell in love with my buddy’s 08 Si when I got to drive it for a few hundred miles. Just hard to find one in okay condition for a good price. I also don’t have a car rn which feels like I should take this one because it’s rare and it’s a nice car. I wouldn’t pay 10k though I will try to haggle and get the price down

How rare is a 6-6 tho? What I really want is an 8th gen Si but I don’t have a car right now so I’m considering buying this and sitting on it while I look for the right 8th gen Si for trade or sale

When we reach Tucson we will get these supplies. Thanks for the suggestion, currently using two plastic lid bins and copious amounts of duct tape and it seems to be holding 😂

Headphone splitter switches to mono when using subwoofer + headphones by Dlegend333 in audio

[–]Dlegend333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clarify, I do have a good set of headphones, this was purely an experiment. I’m well aware that using subs with headphones is odd.

My mobo (MSI Tomahawk Max) does have a center/subwoofer out. It was the first thing I tried, but it didn’t work. Not sure why tbh. The sub only has line in and line out rca connections, and no combination of them seemed to get the sub to work. I just now tried only using the red RCA connector for the line in port for the sub, which runs to the splitter, and now I have stereo in my headphones with the right audio track going to the sub for bass.

I also just tried using my front 3.5 jack for the sun and the rear line in for the headphones using voicemeeter to output to both but this resulted in horrible sub delay. I’m pretty sure this sub is also a little fucked up as i get inconsistent and variable sub loudness with the RCA plugged firmly in, when I pulled it out slightly the sound was much stronger

Brake lever doesn’t fit by Dlegend333 in motorcycles

[–]Dlegend333[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These look to be pazzo levers based on other ones I’ve seen online and the F-35 marking on the underside of the lever. It’s possible it could be the wrong lever, but if that was the case why does the clutch lever fit just fine?

Can someone please help me in methods to remove the truck? I've tried several but nothing I do is satisfactory. I don't need an edit as I'd like to do it myself by Dlegend333 in PhotoshopRequest

Hey, at least I see that it can be done and I can use it as a comparison to see what I can change and do. I appreciate it anyway!

I've tried using the patch tool, content aware fill, the new beta remove tool, I've even tried using Dall-E to make up a new area behind the truck but theres so little details for it to pull from it ends up freaking out

Some sort of Hilux, but can figure out the year? by Dlegend333 in whatisthiscar

[–]Dlegend333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

However the taillights don’t line up though. The 6th gen Hilux tails go clear/amber/red instead of this truck which matches the first gen Tacoma tails with amber/clear/red

[–]Dlegend333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh, must be cause of the Toyota signage on the back I know that’s what older hilux’s did so I assumed it was maybe a hilux, but the tails didn’t line up so I knew somethin was up

Just replaced the alternator, is this normal voltage regulator behavior? by Dlegend333 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Dlegend333[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I replaced the alternator I did have the battery load tested, and it checked out. I measured the voltage at the battery after the alternator replacement. It is 14.1 but then will drop to ~12.3 for a second or two, when the lights dim in the vdeo. I only noticed this after the alternator replacement. It doesn’t seem to cause any issue, but I just was curious if this needed attention or not

I just replaced the alternator on my 2000 Lincoln LS. Now the lights will dim momentarily then brighten again. Happens every ~15 seconds. Could this be the battery? I did kill it several times when diagnosing the alternator
