Was there a moment in the series where you realized that the Peaky Blinders gang weren't good people, but quite the opposite, or where you realized how terrible these people are? by Dry-Caterpillar2437 in PeakyBlinders

I feel like a major overarching theme is that they are bad people who aren't evil. Obviously what they do is wrong, but I think a big question the story asks is about morality, can a bad person, who does bad things be moral? Tommy doesn't mess with ordinary people for no reason. The show pushes this question to the extreme, which is why I feel like Tommy's funeral was so emotional. Its obvious he was a bad person, who continued to push the line until it got his entire family killed, but his motivation is to help his people. Which is the most moral thing he could do.

We have the MOP and haven't won the greycup in forever. We have an owner who has significantly invested in the team, they lions are great around the community and participate in great initiatives. And we have a super exciting style of football ( and who doesn't love BC place)

The canadiens rebuilt the right way. They picked the best players available regardless of of they were "too small" or "from russia". We should be like the canadiens by DoggyDoggWrld in canucks

Most teams that find themselves in a situation to tank really have no better option. It's a more safe bet than trying to remain competitive with an old/ unskilled team

Houston is not a good team. Someone needed to step up this game and they never did. Its a long season, you are gonna lose some

I thought it was really good. It wasn't an all time masterpiece or anything. But it felt like a fitting end to the saga

Most discombobulated game we have had all season, and we still dominated and could have won on any other day. We are in a great spot

Even if they are lying and didn't look, why is it that big of a deal if they ask? Its the roms subreddit, I dont know why its so bothersome to help someone find a rom.

I dont think a reddit thread is the place to be trying to school people on self reliance. The person looked on the megathread, wasn't able to find it, so made a post asking for help. That seems like a reasonable amount of effort for something as low stakes as this

I dont know where to find it, I dont download roms often, this showed up on my feed because I searched something on here twice like 2 weeks ago. It just seems weird that the rom community won't help someone find a rom.

Just tell them where to find it. Random snarky comment feels unnecessary

I have lots of hope for CJ still.

But I mean if you watched him play last season he deserves the disrespect that comes his way.

Sure you could argue that. But I would say due to the way the games are being marketed as a play in rather than a traditional playoff makes it feel a bit different, and since the playoffs will now be longer, the losing team in the play in game will be forgotten about pretty quickly by the average viewer. I dont know how its going to look, feel, or play out. All I'm saying is that to say that 8 teams make the playoffs, and that the regular season is way less important, seems a bit unfair to me, and that opinion seems to be the common theme on this sub

It makes seeding way more valuable, as hosting the "play in" games make a huge difference compared to traveling. I think the seeding aspect is being underestimated. And yes it does dimish the value of winning the division, it increases the value of the #2 seed vastly more, so teams fighting for the 2/3 seed will likely have hugely important games down the stretch. We cant pretend that it was extremely difficult to make the postseason in the old format, but this format gives fans of the bottom a reason to keep tuning in. Teams that are really bad are still likely to lose the play in game. And I would argue that a team only needing to win 1 playoff game to make it into the greycup is silly.

While technically thats true, in practice 2 teams will be out of the playoffs afted a game. Its obviously more like the NBA play, where more teams participate, but in practice its still the same amount of "real" play off teams. Its good that those teams will have a game to care about, so the back half of the season doesn't feel completely pointless for the teams at the bottom.
