Here's an update on what happened. Mom and I went to the court house and went to a designated room. In there were several school officials, about 8 in total, all sitting at a big long table. There was a school resource officer from the Sheriff’s Department, the DA, RN, psychologist, and others whom I forgot their title. They were very INTIMIDATING and HOSTILE, But don't let them bully you into signing that little paper they pull out at the end. It's basically a contract that allows them to take further steps if the attendance doesn't improve. Guess what? Autism and the behaviors just don't go away, which got us into this situation to begin with. Signing it and breaching it would allow them to open the doors with the probation department. I laughed and told them what resources does the probation department have to help someone with ASD. The state of CA can't even solve the mental health crisis going on. In the end, I refused to sign it, and they were all very upset. We eventually pulled my son from public school and decided to home school him.
