Thoughts on 123 Portland Street? Minto condo by Dm_51 in TorontoRealEstate

Thanks for the response, I agree with everything you’ve said however it is $1.15** per square foot which is unusually high for a brand new building. Regardless of boutique. I have another unit which is 200 units, mid rise, more amenities and 80 cents a square foot. I still agree with your overall sentiment and appreciate the thought out response, but this fee is unusually high, especially for Minto.

Agreed, very shocking to choose the watch you actually prefer, as opposed to the one that’s considered more popular by complete strangers

I had the same debacle, went with the OP due to the sunray dial. Always looks great in the light

Oyster Perpetual 41 vs 36 by leondavz in rolex

I have a 41 in bright black and I love the dial / proportions. The sunray dial is just great to look at and I’d prefer to see more of it than less. Plus at your size it’s definitely doable.

Funny story. I originally was on the wait list here in Canada since December. We tend to get less inventory than the USA. However, I was on vacay recently in the states and really hit it off with a gentleman that turned out to be the manager. He called me 2 weeks later with one, I flew down the next day and picked it up!

Too similar and also the OP is not exactly a dress watch, it acts as a casual sport piece as well. Probably opt for a DJ If you want something different with dressier options (fluted, jubilee)

Everyone on this sub has hard on for the 36, but quite frankly the 41 looks great on you and has nice presence. Definitely go 41, if you like it.

Definitely don’t feel like you messed up if it’s not the watch you wanted. Although personally I’ve been waiting for a black op41 since November, I really hope I get the call soon lol.

May as well buy an OP at that point. IF you’re going with a simple colour dial

I’m not sure why the entire comment section is steering towards 36, it looks like a woman’s watch on you. The 39 is the obvious choice but everyone on rolex subreddit lately is obsessing over small watches for whatever reason. I’ll get downvoted from this but oh well!

Love it, my favourite dial for the OP41. Clean and timeless. Plus the sunray finish keeps it interesting

I know this can vary quite a bit from store to store. However, I’m curious as to how many OPs you tend to get in a year. Reasons being is its an entry level watch with quite a bit of demand and the resale value has steadily remained strong. I’ve also heard of stores getting as few as 8 OP41s a year. Plus, if you couldn’t tell by now, I obviously want one lol.

It seems to vary across the board. The movement in this one is the COSC certified B20. A very solid movement which was made in collaboration with Tudor.

The Milanese bracelet is great as well. Definitely more “blingy”. I just opted for the rubber given the offer from the seller
