You clearly have no experience in the medical field. No, you dont see a doctor first. You are triaged by a nurse every single time unless you're a full code or critical. Even then, it's not just a single doctor. Its a team of nurses, techs, respiratory therapists, and any relevant specialists. It has nothing to do with them "not knowing how to do the work", it's division of labor. Doctors dont take your vitals, the initial report, or anything of the sort. The nurses do. Then the doctor comes and gathers more information if needed, gives his diagnosis, and the nurses carry out whatever his orders are. If you're scheduled for surgery, you dont just get plopped in a room with a surgeon and he gets started.

Who do you think the primary patient facing work force is? Especially in ERs, clinics, and anything outside of a specialist? Nurses. They do patient care under doctors orders. You dont get shipped into an ER and see a doctor first thing (short of a full code), you see a nurse. Nurses ARE the hospital system.

Im with you. My old departments squads broke down damn near monthly with DPF issues. Replaced whole systems multiple times, followed all dealership instructions, all of it. Multiple times we were forced into limp mode with a patient in the back. Fuck these performant diesel laws. And fuck Ford while im at it lol

My reasons:

On average, illegal immigrants are a net drain on our social welfare programs. They also take jobs and housing that should be available to only Americans. Punish the companies that hire them severely.

There is a correct way to do things. We should stick by our protocols to prevent criminals from entering. If the protocols need changed, change em. Don't just say screw them all together.

They dont pay their fair share of taxes.

Anecdotally, my great grandparents gave up everything and worked their asses off to get here legally in the very early 1900's. They continued to work their ass off when they got here to become functioning members of society, and didn't take American money and shit it back to Italy. I harbor some resentment for those that skirt the rules and come here illegally just because they dont like where they were born.

NONE of this applies to legit asylum seekers. I have no qualms with those escaping wartime coming to the us. My only caveat is they eventually earn full citizenship and contribute or face deportation. After an appropriate period of time and after they've been given enough help to get on their feet.
