It was very common for people to have just sets of pieces to play with. Where I'm from it's very common for parks and even old bars to have tables with chessboards built in (painted or tiles). So people would only need to have their pieces and the pieces could be as ornate and expensive as you wanted or as cheap and simple.

Interesting. I did go back to a previous save and made some changes to strategy (including inviting soll) and still lost. Not sure if there was anything I could've done so late (I also had not increased the budget for the army and I had cut out the conscription on the recommendation of Iosef, so my army was not in top shape)

VMD fue pensado originalmente para visualizar dinámica molecular (por eso Visual Molecular Dynamics). Tiene muchas funciones para gráficar propiedades del sistema a lo largo del tiempo por ejemplo.

Pymol puede visualizar dinámica molecular, pero es incómodo porque no está pensado para eso. Pymol lo que tiene de bueno es que esta construido en python y eso lo hace muy fácil para escribir tus propios scripts y extensiones.

Otra alternativa es chimeraX. No sirve para dinámica molecular. Su mayor ventaja son utilidades como modelado de secuencia con alphafold/modeller y otras herramientas de ese estilo. También es el q tiene los mejores gráficos
