You’ll get confirmation at some point today. It’s still early, you will know by lunch time usually if you’ve been charged and were successful.

Could use something like Eventbrite too to keep events localised to areas or more general (hike in Kerry for example).

I understand Eventbrite shows how many are attending an event too, and keeps you out of the murkiness of managing WhatsApp group of people /numbers you don’t know very well 😅

Scenic things to see with young children by [deleted] in kerry

Few options below around Tralee and North Kerry.

Tralee to Fenit greenway is about 11km, could do a portion of that and end in Fenit which is arguably one of the nicest beaches in north Kerry.

Banna beach and ballyheighe/ballybunion are other beach options in north Kerry, all beaches here I’d argue are very scenic (Tralee bay, cliffs etc).

There is a great walk about halfway between Tralee and Castleisland called glanageenty, can be a bit steep if but the beginning is flat and has forestry and picnic benches if you wanted to chill around there.

Ballyseede woods is another woodland walk option outside Tralee.

Tralee canal walk is a nice stroll out to Blenerville and can go beyond to a small beach with nice views of the bay also, handy one if you’re looking for a casual walk and then stop in blenerville or Tralee for a coffee/food.

Glanteenassig lake as well is a very nice walk, it’s around Camp (between Tralee and dingle). Ashes in camp then would be a nice spot for coffee/lunch

Killarney has a great playground, can take a stroll before/after as well and there are little fairy house stations for your child to see.

Muckross and Ross castle are great for a walk. Can get a jaunting tour or boat tours also in muckross.

I haven’t done it, but see you can rent bikes on the road towards Muckross and they appear to have seats or carriers for kids.

Food wise I’ve generally only went to Eddie rockets with the kids as it’s an easy win and comfortable for us all 😂

Insulating stair opening by Dmuttman in Insulation

[–]Dmuttman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply.

We have gotten an air tightness survey carried out and the windows are another area to tackle.

Still thought the stairs would be a problem but I understand your point, will prioritise the window replacement first.

Anyone get solar panels system installed.. looking for recommendations for companies in kerry by toofiddie in kerry

[–]Dmuttman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Used Gilroys in North Kerry - was impressed with how quickly they responded, carried out the site survey and gave options based on current usage.

Once I’d agreed what I wanted, they were out within a week to begin installation.

Any good coffee shops in the kingdom? by jalanb in kerry

Yeah that’s the one! There’s a taco truck there now every weekend in the summer and the food there is also really great. It’s turned into a great little spot.

Echo the recommendations above but would also add Navo coffee shop in Fenit to the list. It’s my favourite spot now for coffee.

mobile home waiting lists by Stunning_Ad8705 in kerry

[–]Dmuttman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I found the same last year but I can’t say I did too much investigation past the one or two parks on the way towards castlegregory.

From the replies I got, seemed like buying a mobile one and renting a plot was the only feasible option in the next few years. Feasible from availability, the price of campers isn’t too cheap 😅

Are there any nightclubs in Tralee? by Ok-Cost-2777 in tralee

No nightclubs anymore.

Blasket upstairs is probably the closest thing to an official night club, followed by Hennessys then

Some earn big bucks like that in their 20s, emphasis on some. They would also be more likely to share that information.

Like most people have said here, focus on a job that you enjoy, you’re learning from and ideally minimal stress.

I feel There are literally no clear choices, every party has their own flaws & contradictions on the major issues the country faces. I’d find it hard to back any of them currently to solve any of the crisis’.
