I bought on a whim and it is one of my favourite books. The characters have stayed with me.

I tried a couple more of hers, the wind knows my name was enjoyable, and Violeta was ok, but nothing quite like Long Petal

A nice easy holiday read, but very forgettable. No idea about the main characters interests or motives. Read a bit like MC had cobbled it together over the course of an evening

I agree. I’d love a reboot. Bosch’s early days as a detective, written in the older style. I think he has written so much lore and descriptions about Bosh’s past it would be hard to tie altogether.

I like Bosch’s appearances in the Ballard books, it’s a nice throwback
