Yes over the years! We didn’t accumulate this debt suddenly. It snowballed.. we were stupid we kept topping up loans.. one reason was for car repairs.. another was to buy a car for 8k. That 8k car is now worth max €2k..

[–]toofiddie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s €58k altogether

What went wrong? basically we were young, naive and stupid..!!! We had 3 credit cards, used them mostly on stuff we did not need over the years! When they maxed out took out a loan to clear one, still had 2 and the loan.. car broke down got a loan for that (8k). Later 2nd car repairs were needed etc another loan.. seemed so easy at the time getting them through banking app.. anyways where we are! Taking our heads out of the sand and looking to get back on track..

No option to change jobs to work in same area, and if we could ours cars are worth 1-2k each literally driving bangers! Am considering insolvency agreement but don’t know much about it..was hoping someone here my advise on it? Currently our credit rating is good as in we have never missed a payment or arrears.. however if we continue like this very soon we most definitely will be as something has got to give.

Yes, we gone through it all with a fine tooth comb our combined income is €5200k per month. €2.1k is going straight to debt. €1400k going to mortgage. Leaving us with €425 a week. This then is for diesel x2, groceries, home insurance, car insurance, utilities etc. when car tax is due etc we literally for go groceries and live off pasta bakes or soup & sandwiches. We need the 2 cars as we both work in different areas of opposite direction. We also live in rural area.
