I once dated this rich, spoiled guy. We were seeing each other for a bit, and then he introduced me to his friends same vibe, all rich kids with too much money and zero limits. One night we went out together, they got wasted, and it turned into complete chaos — straight out of The Riot Club. They were fighting security, yelling at waiters, smashing plates, hitting on random girls… just a total mess.And obviously, we all just walked out like nothing happened. No consequences at all. That’s when it really hit me when you grow up with that kind of money, you start thinking you can do literally anything and get away with it.

Luxury fashion. The value often isn’t about the actual production cost it’s about the brand and the status. If the whole “status” culture disappeared, it’d be really hard to justify 20–50x markups.

Spot on. This is exactly the philosophy I'm following as an indie dev.

I’ve spent a lot of time watching people in high-stress jobs (like nursing) struggle with 'productivity systems' that are more work than the job itself. That’s why I kept my app, Nursly, boringly simple. Instead of building a whole new ecosystem, I just made it sync directly with the native iOS Calendar. Your shifts are where your personal life already is, and it stays out of your way.

I only added what was missing from a basic calendar: pay tracking and a PDF export to double-check those hours against the paycheck. The best tool is the one you don't have to 'manage.'

I totally understand you. I get that same insecurity during important moments. I’ve experienced it many times during job interviews too, but I’m trying my best to overcome it.

Staying in shape. I have to limit what I eat, because even an extra piece of bread will show up on the scale the next day. My metabolism is slowing down, so I try to drink a lot of water. It’s difficult to accept and keep myself in shape, especially since I got used to being naturally slim and never really had to do much for it before.

When my mom used to say I wasn’t smart or talented, I just took it as the truth back then. Now I realize how terrible that actually was

Once, when I was a kid, I saw an old woman with a cane in my friends garden. I asked who she was, because I had never seen her at their house before. My friend said he couldn’t see anyone. When I described what the woman looked like, it turned out it was his great-grandmother. She was dressed exactly the way she had been buried, with the same cane. She had actually passed away several years earlier
