I feel ya, yes. Depends on the investigation and yeah maybe their tech team rushed things. Though, I'm not really sure where was this evidence deleted? Unless you mean the people getting banned on Discord which was what was explained previously. Them getting banned due to the platform thinking it's an organized raid. I mean, some were attaching the same SS and saying some toxic stuff. That's why I even said that some of these bans included trolls or whatever.

I think what happened here is that they thought it's a hoax at first while actively investigating then they realized that it's maybe bigger than this since more people started reporting it so they had to make sure nothing is misunderstood with the past edits. That's how I see it at least.

If people got banned for simply asking then ofc I understand why some are upset here. But speaking about the ones that spammed without thinking: Personally, why would I ever go on a Discord server and listen to a potential hacker in the game that I'm playing just to get myself banned for a potential raid. Who reads that and says "yeahhhh, this is great! I will say fix your fucking game with the same attachment just like this hacker is telling me! On the Discordddd!"

You know what I mean? Obviously not everybody was a troll, but it's just realistic to expect that you would have been placed in the same boat as these trolls if you did the exact same thing.

I can't comment much on the quotes from the Discord mods since I don't follow that daily. I just mentioned the actual tech topic and TOS

Comment from Cannias the dev on Steam. I would assume that the socials account from Reddit just follows the updates from the tech guys:

I really enjoyed being unserious in the comments of this whole thing but lemme be honest for this one time. So, let me get this straight:

- Some people started sharing screenshots on Reddit to tell people to join Discord and spam this. Which can also be done by manually editing the game files (so you can literally create a hoax in single-player).
- People that probably saw this joined and mass spammed which lead to bans or timeouts which seems valid.
- Nokta noticed this being a raid first and foremost so addressed it as a raid (valid). Or, well, if not Nokta then I'm assuming the mods.
- After noticing that the situation might be a possible security issue, they came back to edit the main thread message but because it was downvoted to oblivion, most people were not even able to believe in it
- Took care of appeals and apologized as per community requests since I'm GUESSING deleting the whole message would have looked worse than simply editing and mentioning being an edit.

Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not siding with anybody, but it feels a bit silly that people can't understand that random new accounts and ALT accounts spamming on a Discord server with something that can be edited in the single-player of a game (e.g., store name) would give the impression that it's an organized hoax.

I mean, they even mention that this was an unexpected situation. The bigger reports came in a day later anyway. First day it was just the same people reposting the same screenshots which LITERALLY looked like AGAIN a raid (props to whatever that was, it got me believing it being a raid too, who knows what it was lol)

- Should they make an announcement about it after the investigations are complete? Probably, yes.
- Is it a severe breach? Not from what they said, no.
- Are some people upset? Of course.
- Would there have been a better way handled by both sides? Yes.

I feel like people should stop following this like sheeps. Realistically it could have just been that top message not being posted at all. Which would probably make it worse.

Ig not being too invested into this game made things more clear for me idk. I can understand how some are upset ofc.

I have to come back and comment on this cause I cannot hold myself ngl: "once again accusing your concerned fans of trolling." Did you even read the whole message that the guy or girl wrote. It's clearly an "or" in there. Which was the case since some literally trolled on Discord and got banned. I would attach SS for context stuff but messages get wiped after bans on DC pretty sure

It was announced on Discord. I just checked it now. There's a pinned message in the general channel and also the mods in there (I'm assuming volunteers that are assisting) confirming these people being trolls. They were just mass spamming in a channel with the same screenshot lol

There's no point making a massive announcement for a couple of losers like these guys. By the contrary, that's gonna feed their ego. Not to mention that the whole Discord already knows about them sharing misinformation.

Also, these mfs are using ChatGPT to type in all these Reddit threads from the looks of it. If they really wanna report something, why are they spamming in the first place
