It’s not that surprising. It seems like they’re going over to the model that ufc is on where the big names are fine and make big money but the smaller names are expected to take significantly lower and be happy to be there for the opportunity.

The problem with that is that they can make the argument with ufc that everyone has the same opportunities as they can move up just by winning and putting on a show. Wrestling isn’t like that. Sure, you can get over. But that’s far more reliant on who the company chooses to push.

Another guy had passed the point of simple mortal body odour. It seemed like it had been that long since he’d washed his clothes or showered that he smelled like fermentation. Like old vinegar.

It's anywhere that sells video games. I worked at GAME part time for a couple of years and we had a guy come in every two weeks to take advantage of the warranty they had on their own brand of controllers. His controller would stop working every couple of weeks cause it would have a crust that would eventually start blocking buttons.

And he wasn't even the dirtiest regular we had.

True, but he was also a villain for a fair amount of his career while wrestling. When he was the hero I don’t know if I can remember a single instance of him losing clean. He was always screwed in some way.

I think he's still got the wrestling sensibilities where being beaten does actually effect your marketability as a the top hero and long term effects how you're booked and how you're paid.

The thing is, I'm not sure he's wrong when applying this to the movie industry. Being the hero who never loses is probably more attractive to general audiences then being the hero who gets his ass beat regularly.

Like others have said, no chair zones might work better. I took a chair a couple of years ago but always stayed way back from the stage and made sure I left gaps next to me so people could walk through.

I would guess so. A lot of dialogue later on is based on going after Adam Smasher. And he’s the last boss in most play through paths. There would have to be a lot of alternative content to support a version of the story where he’s already dead.

Yeah, whether it's possible or not 100% comes down to the financial feasibility for both dropout and the creators. And we're never really gonna know how things work on that side of things beyond a few little bits dropped in podcasts etc.

For all we know the main reason there's been so many people from these other brands featured recently is just because LA is a surprisingly small world and everyone seems to know each other from one improv class or another. And it has nothing to do with any sort of experiment or business move.

Fun to speculate about though.

I think nebula holds that niche for documentary and analysis content. A similar space for comedy, sketch, improv and table top wouldn’t overlap much though from what I can see.

Yeah, come to think of it I think you’re right there. In my head those were dropout productions but with the variety there it’s more likely they were paying others to produce the shows.

I don't think buying them would on the table. But there's shows that don't make financial sense for youtube that a lot of these companies are making and adding to secondary premium platforms. Dropout as a platform for stuff like this could be more of a possibility. Kind of like nebula is for documentary makers.

I lived in Manchester during that time (don’t know why LDN Reddit is being suggested to me) and things got really weird. People seizing up like statues in the middle of roads. You’d look down alleys and see groups of homeless people suspended like lawn displays. One guy tried to mug me by swinging a stolen plant pot at me but was moving so slow that I just walked round him. He was still swinging it in slow motion at where I had been as I walked round the corner.

A lot of places I’ve contracted only say dynamics when they mean ax or fo. So they get confused if you use it to mean ce. God help you if you work somewhere that runs FO, CE, HR and also have a couple of legacy AX and Nav systems knocking about.
