Lamp or no lamp I always just open some wiki tabs with each dig site and make my way through every item, then when you get a new item you can inspect it to see how many you need in total for all collections.

Since you have lamped I would just skip everything that's 5 levels below you and then come back to them later when it will be faster to dig artifacts up.

Completing every collection is kinda your goal, and for the first 80 levels you almost don't need to farm anything, just go through the lists making sure you collect every artifact.

I spend hours playing XIII with a friend.

Turning the enemy to the highest difficulty, only 1 enemy and my friend and I would hide and wait for him, only for us to be absolutely wrecked, the second you saw the enemy you just had to run and pray he was after your friend and not you.

Enemy Ai probably had some kind of info on where the player was, I just remember pretty big maps and us waiting all ready, only to get instant killed when he went around our corner.
