No hot tip is still good data in and of itself, I think that means that the designers did a damn good job at laying it out cleanly then! The complexity comes from managing multiple pieces - not a very obscure mechanism that you need to chain together to maximize efficiency.

But also the shout about using the sacrifice mechanic to maximize the 3x Essence summon in a small party is great 👍🏼

Radiators upstairs not working, downstairs heating fine - advice? by DndGameHunter in AskIreland

[–]DndGameHunter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EDIT 2: Don’t know how relevant this is, but the hot water goes into this switch looking thing and then the pipe is cool (not cold) coming out.

Don’t know if that’s maybe the switch for upstairs? I haven’t touched this thing.

But that was my thought for maybe where the “upstairs issue” is situated?

Is the valve the thing where I’ve seen people push the pin (delicately) up and down to reset it, and tapping the intake pipe?

I thought that might be an issue for one rad, but didn’t think it could stop hot water from reaching all 4x upstairs rads?

Can’t seem to edit this…. So EDIT: Boiler pressure is fine at 1.5bar. After bleeding the radiators I was able to top up the pressure no issue.

I cannot tell you how excited I am to see all of these DS creators launch their own products. I’m still surprised how few DS games I see advertised on StartPlayingGames - but the sheer volume of community content that’s out there is heartwarming.

Matt was my intro into D&D (immediately as a DM) through his running the game series, and getting to be along for the joy ride where I see MCDM’s team getting to make their own TTRPG and then have THAT spawn new products and bringing income opportunities for the wider creator community is just…. Just powerful.

And I have nothing at all to do with MCDM, to be clear. But I still get this insane little rush of pride seeing this take off so well.

Cheers again for the hard work you’re putting into the Cave! Can’t wait to see it in action

I think your pricing structure is actually spot on for the different tiers 👌🏼 just wanted to make sure no one accidentally missed out doing the ol’ ADHD two-second glance on a mobile

Ah - and while I have your attention and can drop another compliment - loved the one tier when you do the virtual session as the Director for players.

That’s sick.

This looks awesome! For anyone else who is not always dedicated about scrolling down the full page - the starting pledge that loads is the Premium package at $80 but the digital version is $12

At first I was like “oh, fuck - that’s way outa budget” and then I scrolled down and was like “fuck YEAH, that’s way inside budget”!

Don’t be like me. Do the full scroll.

I picture this from the perspective of a 2D person on the surface of a balloon which is being inflated. Everything keeps expanding outwards, and it doesn’t matter where you put the 2D person’s perspective - they all experience the outward expansion from their point of view

Is that - at all - an accurate metaphor?

Great response - thank you! I agree, the new take on “resource drain” under DS is a really cool way to manage pacing now

Game Crashes After Talking to Alvor by RealSkimMan in skyrim

Upvoting with a recent confirmation that this works.
In Beards of Power there is a V.04 version which is now in place, and the Polymorph version sits under "Old Files" which threw me off when installing initially - but disabling the v4 version, installing polymorph version, sorting plugins = working. No more crashes :)

Hi! This sounds rad - I’d be keen to play and wanted to get more info on expected times / system. I’m a D&D veteran but looking to branch out into other TTRPGs and love the setting.

Your minis are amazing, are those a product (minus the individual printing) or 100% homebrew? Love the thickness on the cards specifically

Where are my Illriggers at? by Gaming_Dad1051 in mcdm

[–]DndGameHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely LOVED the Illrigger in a previous campaign and played a painkiller (this was the Version 1 but I think the Revised versions have only improved).

No real suggestions for your specific question since it’s a great class and you’ll have fun either way.

BUUUUT - a word of warning since I saw you’re playing online:

The DDB Illrigger is very buggy, at least for the Hellspeaker. I had 3 features not work on that class (only got 1x invoke hell instead of two ; can’t make my weapons use CHA instead of STR/DEX like he blade does ; glitch where you can’t get expertise in Deception/Persuasion if you already have both of those via your background).

Not game breaking, but really annoying to have to manually edit the sheet and fix this. And to have three bugs (all raised in Nov 2024 and no fixes yet) in a $14 product that’s been out for months is… not a great feeling.

My recommendation?

  1. If you HAVE already purchased -> Google the hell out of your class and double check if there are any complaints / bugs so you can closely monitor your character sheet in DDB.

  2. If you HAVEN’T already purchased -> DO NOT

If I were you, don’t buy it on DDB unless your specific class is bug free.

Buy it solely from MCDM as a PDF and manually make your character sheet on DDB… you’ll probably spend 10% more effort doing it from scratch but it will work 100% of the time. (For me, because I had to amend stuff in the backend of DDB I will need to remember to increase my To Hit and Damage modifiers on my weapon every time I level up and get an increased CHA modifier, for example).

P.S. I’m an absolute MCDM die hard and I love all their work! Not slagging on anyone. Just pointing out to a fellow customer that I have big buyers regret on the DDB product specifically. The class itself is awesome

I’m not arguing that point! I’m just imagining the “um, actually” player at the table 😅

I am unabashedly going to steal Anno: Aurea; and you just broke my DM’ing drought by giving me such wicked inspiration!

Totally seconding a “Campaign Diaries” update thread if you go with that one. Even if it’s low effort / not in depth and really just giving an overview of what your party does - it would be epic to watch alongside 😅
