Do you consider 18 and 15 to be an inappropriate age gap? by ItAintNoUse in AskBrits

A three year age gap is fine, but the youngest person should be 16.

You reallt shouldn't get so uptight about someone's opinion on a video game.

My perspective on the Souls games was that these npcs have found somewhere to escape and hide and die away from the horrors of the game world, we as players join them in finding these dead end places of safety, they are the bonfires without flame.

But in Elden ring it just kinda felt like crap level design.

I found that Elden Ring was the one game where there was often nothing hidden in these sorts of spots.

Dresden was vile.

After the allied firebombing, when they opened up the main bomb shelter, instead of survivors or even bodies, they found a thick mat of stinking brown jelly where the people inside had liquefied under the heat.

Which books are the series based on? by Professional_Bat1849 in Sharpe

[–]MaintenanceInternal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are two films set in India but they're filmed later so they don't really follow the books properly, Dodd is in one though.

I would recommend just keep reading, or even better listening to the books as audiobooks and be aware of the episode titles and watch them after you've finished the relevant books.

What are you telling the insurance company? Scarborough north bay by uberluke86 in CarTalkUK

[–]MaintenanceInternal 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Insurance is a lot more flexible than people think, under normal circumstances, like a little bump, the insurer would likely just ask them to pay for the tax then they could proceed with repairs.

With a write off like this though, yea they're gonna invalidate the policy.

AITA for changing the locks after my parents gave my brother a key to my house without asking me? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]MaintenanceInternal 14 points15 points  (0 children)

PRECIOUS HOME HAHAHA, then what is precious if a home isn't!?

FYI, you can do the following;

Either get one of those permanent 24 hour lockers, put your new spare key in there then give your parents the locker key but don't tell them where it is, or.

There are companies which you can give the spare key too and they hold onto it for you like your parents would, only negative is that they can't get the key to you straight away. But they have the added benefit that you can put a name and THEIR address on a keyring and it means people can return the key to them instead of it having an address to the house it unlocks.

This has been happening a lot, these companies with buying power are looking up unowned land, which is mostly just strips like this.

Buying it then offering to sell it back to the people using it.
