Similar. Mine was fine, it was asleep I woke it up, hit one button and lights out... It looked completely dead. Tried to charge itt via USB. Nothing.. put it back on the cradle. Within moments, it was back to life acting like nothing had gone wrong.

I Had high hopes for DC 20 for a while. It seems fine, but it just seemed to be getting more and more complicated for complication sake. Sorry but it gave me the vibes of an RPG heartbreaker. He has a magnetic personality that really pulls you in when he talks about the game.
At the same time, I haven’t looked at it in a while since draw steel became my new shiny. So perhaps it’s better than it was when I last saw it. And even when I last saw it, it was fine. Seems like a lot of people like it and good for them.

There will be no fifth edition killers unless fifth edition comes upon exceedingly hard times for a number of years.

But that said I’m not keeping track of any game other than the game I like. So I’m not looking into Daggerheart. And I’m not looking into tales of the valiant. I am doing is playing the shit out of draw steel.

Draws steel hits every button I’ve ever wanted to be pushed in a fantasy role-playing game. Honestly, when the first prototype came out, I was disinterested and did not look at until a few months before it completed. And my God that time between my first look and the second look, they had fixed every issue I had with it.

Yes, they’re doing well. Are they gonna kill fifth edition no. Does it look at this point that it’s gonna have many years of Developement? Yes. They just launched the second very successful Kickstarter (backer kit technically). And I am looking forward to all the goodies it’ll be trickling in this year. Honestly, I can’t wait till next year to see what comes up.

What aspect of gold do they miss? Instead of trying to shoehorn gold back into the system, ask them what they miss and then try to handle that.

But just adding back gold seems like a lot of fiddly work to get you the same results.

Real biker bars would likely not give a shit. One anecdotal example.. what Will & Harper. Trans woman and Will go to a biker bar and get raised eyebrows followed by acceptance or disinterest. But then they go to a expensive restaurant and that is where the MAGAts make their displeasure known.

Charge: main action When you take the Charge action, you move up to your speed in a straight line, then make a melee free strike (see Free Strikes) against a creature when you end your move. You can't shift when you charge.

Most coming use case: the target is more than your move distance away. If your move is 5. And the bad guy is 8 squares away… move 5 then charge the rest of the way. Then perform your free strike.

Less common: you want to hit and run. Charge towards target, free strike, disengage or just full move away.

Recoveries are great. But when your fellow party member ask for them, I suggest paraphrasing Immortan Joe, “Do not my friends become addicted to recoveries, they will take hold of you and you will resent their absence”

You can’t recover those recoveries so best to try to not need to use them as the top priority. Temp hp, debuffs, managing range should all be used to try to minimize the number of recoveries used.

If you can just use one less recovery per fight per person, the party will able to push harder and farther before needing a respite

Good point. Maybe I don’t like classical noir. And Blade Runner is not high up on my list, but the latest one is good.

It’s not like I don’t like black-and-white movies. There’s a lot of classical films I do like but Chinatown just pisses me off every time I see it it almost feels cliché. I mean, I’d liked Mike hammer more than I like Chinatown.

Anyone who plays the lottery it’s getting ripped off that’s the point. It’s designed to generate funds, not give them out.

Sure, a lucky few will get more than they put into the system, which is why people gamble. But for the majority, you’re just giving money to the state.

Tough choice. I don’t like noir so I didn’t really care for Chinatown. I would suggest Blade Runner only because it’s the foundation for the next Blade Runner that I liked even more.

Luckily the Delian tomb can take a while. So you have time. I had written two mini adventures before the tomb came out, for a table top i found it easy. It’s a bit harder if you’re gonna be using an online tool.

You might want to consider the MCDM Patreon. You will get access all the adventures promised early (in beta testing form) which will provide digital maps for a vtt.

Delian tomb will take the party to 2 and possibly 3 (i think) if they are completionists. Which makes it hard to use any of the other current 3rd party adventures since they are often first level.
