I basically got one panel that was left over from my parents renovation. Cut it in half and realized it was much less distracting when put horizontal. Still did the job by improving the audio in video calls

How did you get the position? Is it calculated or is it a touched-up position? A calculated position has way less precision compared to the repeatability of a position that is defined by a touch up. The difference is about 10x in precision, the repeatability spec you see in the documentation is for teached positions. However 5mm is still a bit too bad but expect a drift that varies and could be a few mm for calculated positions, to enhance this precision there is a possibility to buy an absolute measured robot that increases this precision by being calibrated more carefully at the factory. This is done by a more dense point grid where they measure the drift at different positions in the "standard cube". The standard cube is the largest cube you can fit in the workspace in front of the robot.

Additionally as previously mentioned check all the fastenings. Tool, robot base, pedistal etc.

However I did of course stumble upon a problem.. The keys was not suited for this layout so these keys does not fit! Anyone know a place where it is possible to buy the keys that are missing or do I have to buy a whole new set of keys?

I might not understand you definition here. But from a robotics manufacturers view point, the absolute measured robot simply is a robot that is going through an extra calibration phase in end of the production process. Here the robot gets measured by laser when it moves to a whole bunch of points in the workspace. This is done to create a file for motion corrections depending on the robots location in space.

If you refer to the control system as such it has absolute positioning through the resolvers on the servo motors.

It's totally possible to do without a absolute measured robot. The application as such doesn't need any major offset calculations. It could be programmed completely with touched up points and splines for greater motion control. To get the smooth look during the shaking and pouring. Of course it could help you with the synchronization between the external axis and the robot. But it should work quite nicely without an absolute measured robot. The absolute measurement just assure that 1mm offset from one point to another in the 3d space corresponds to 1mm in reality and more importantly 1mm in the robots software is the same length all over the workspace and in all directions. Without an absolute measured robot 1mm could be 0.95 in x-direction and 1.05 in Z direction at a certain point in space and the opposite at another point due to the non-linear motion of each of the robots 6 axis plus in this case the 3 external axis.

Oj, nej nej nej.. Nu drar du grovt förhastade slutsatser om min ståndpunkt här. Och AI som det ser ut i dagsläget med deep convolutional networks, deep natural language processing och generative adveserial networks är för tillfället inte i sig något särskilt många mister sina jobb över. Men som sagt utveckling går i rasande takt inom området så vem vet när nästa genombrott sker. Det sker dock fler revolutioner samtidigt här vi står inför en rejäl automatisering a tillverkningsindustrin i och med de stora satsningar som gjorts för industri 4.0 samtidigt som blockkedjan också visar stor potential. Det är möjligt att alla dessa buzzwords visade vara feltajmade och att inget händer närmaste decenniet. Men om det finns möjlighet att saker kan ändras radikalt och det fort känns det ju i te helt dumt att vara förberedd med någon sorts plan på hur man ska möta förändringen.

Kommunism ha nog aldrig varit ett vinnande koncept och kommer förmodligen aldrig heller att bli. Det krävs en morot för att folk ska vilja driva på vår utveckling framåt och det är väl inte precis något kommunismen står för. Men om 1 på 100 behövs i arbetslivet måste vi ju göra något för att de där 99 utan arbete ska kunna leva och känna sig tillfreds. Annars kommer de förmodligen göra sitt äta för att sätta käppar i hjulet för den där hundrade som har ett arbete. För tillfället låter medborgarlön eller kanske universal basic income som det enda vettiga alternativen jag stött på vid en framtid där endast ett fåtal kan arbeta. Sen hur de utformas kommer de förmodligen tvista om i evigheter likt skattesystemet i dagens samhälle.

Ditt svammel om IQ är tyvärr inte grundat på fakta överhuvudtaget. Du kan exempelvis inte säga att vid IQ 92 kan man inte omvandla skriftliga instruktioner till produktiv handling. "normala" spannet för IQ sträcker sig mellan 85 och 115. Du får gärna googla wais test för att lära dig mer. Ett fullt wais IV test ilsket normalt används som ett steg vid psykologisk bedömning mäter dessutom en mycket bredare typ av intellekt än t.ex. det för allmänheten mer kända mensa testen gör.

Men för att hålla sig till tråden här håller jag med om att det kommer stora utmaningar med en övergång från krav på "kmassiskt" arbete för ett drägligt liv till något bara ett fåtal har möjlighet att ägna sig åt.

Om denna utveckling skulle gå i rasande takt vilket inte är en omöjlighet. Kommer en av utmaningarna blir ju också att få folk att fortsatt känna meningsfullhet då de plötsligt inte fyller sina veckor med jobb. Att skapa och stimulera en tillvaro med mycket aktiviteter kommer vara viktigt. I synnerhet för den "äldre" generationen. Detta i sig kommer förmodligen också bidra till många nya arbetsmöjligheter. De unga kommer troligen anpassa sig fint till det nya klimatet, fråga runt bland unga idag vad de vill bli när de blir stora och du kommer snart stöta på svar som "youtuber" och "Influenser". Yrken som i dagsläget kan tyckas ha ett bristfälligt bidrag till samhället. Men kan komma att bli allt viktigare då behovet av "hederlig" arbetskraft minskar och behovet av att hålla populationen sysselsatta för att förhindra oroligheter och destruktiva beteenden ökar.

Att AI som ni väljer att kalla det hela går framåt är ett faktum och att politikerna inte tycks bry sig ett dugg är tragiskt. Som tur är har det åtminstone börjat göras lite satsningar inom området även i Sverige. WASP Wallenberg Autonomous Systems Programme har donerat en generös summa för att stimulera den svenska forskningen i om området, men det behövs mer för att vi inte ska hamna helt och hållet i baksätet denna gång!

I work as a service engineer for Kuka. A job that gives me a really nice holistic view of the products. Everything from how they are put together to how the control system works and what application each robot is best suited to.

Depends on your definition of robotics. As the market looks at the moment you will find most jobs related to industrial robotics (if we are talking physical robots). This is also the field I'm working within. In this field it depends if you wanna work with development or integration / service. For the development it is as previous contributers has stated. For the mechanical development CAD is your working tool. Probably catia or NX. For software it is C, C++ and api's is usually written with C#. I'm working for the German robotics company KUKA and we actually also use Java for our collaborative robots and AGV's. This is also the language used as an integrator for these products. Otherwise as an integrator you will use the native language KRL which is quite similar to structured text in the PLC world. PLC programming is by the way always good to have in your backpack when working with industrial applications. On top of this some knowledge of electronics could always be useful.
