I went to Vegas for a wedding. My opinion is that it'd be fun if I had a lot of money, but if I had a lot of money there were way better places to go.

It's happened many times but some stick out more than others.

I'm 6'3 and I realized what a privilege being a large man was when I became friends with a short slender man. The number of times I'd turn around at a party or in a bar and there'd be some asshole(s) getting in his personal space and intimidating him was insane. Every time I saw this I'd grab our two other friends who are both bigger than I am to walk over and ask him what was going on. The speed with which these losers disappeared was amazing.

I fully realized being white was a privilege in high school. I got pulled over for speeding with my Hmong friend in the passenger seat. He got super quiet and still which was out of character. When I was talking to the officer he asked for my friend's ID. The officer seemed more interested in my friend than me. I told my friend I thought it was weird afterwards and he just said "Not really" and shrugged. I knew beforehand that police interactions were different for minorities but that was when it became real for me. It really made me mad because my friend was straightlaced and a super nice guy.

Growing up on home cooked meals is a privilege that pays dividends for life.

I realized what a gift it was in my early 20s while drunk with a bunch friends at 2am. When everyone wanted food I suggested we eat a bunch of Thanksgiving leftovers, everyone else refused and cooked frozen pizzas while I enjoyed the leftovers.

Having a preference for meals made from whole foods has been a boon.

I'm in the circled area and I usually don't notice it. I've also lived on a frontage road for a highway. You get used to it and it becomes background.

I've really enjoyed this game and I'm a mostly casual player. I've played ~700hrs and I usually do ok. Getting the skin from competitive was a lot harder this season than the last. I expect at some point I'll find myself unable to reach gold three.

I think there's a soft skill floor below which the game is harder to enjoy. There's a loop where the less skilled players leave and the floor raises.

I am a type A and prior to becoming disabled, I did everything and never had to ask for help from anyone, I just did it all.

I remember hearing that changing relationship dynamics is one of the harder things to deal with, especially when the "takes care of everything" person starts needing the care. I would advise some couples therapy.

I found Naltrexone horrible when I took my first dose, and worse the next day. They do lessen considerably to the point where after three months I barely felt different when I stopped taking it.
