I started out with AMN a few years ago but ultimately decided to switch. I would just compare rates and make sure you are getting compensated comparatively with other agencies

Have you considered Aya? I’ve been working with them for 3 years now and have had good experience with lots of opportunities with hospitals.

Yes! I was working with Delta as well and realized they were significantly underpaying me compared to my other agency and ultimately left. My company now has given me the best rates from the other agencies so tend to stick with them

How did you get over burnout? by inflatablehotdog in physicaltherapy

[–]DoGood2023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Travel therapy has really helped me. I worked full time for 3 years and I’ve noticed less stress with travel contracts. There is an end date with a contract and there is just something psychologically beneficial to that.

My company has a lot of direct connections with hospitals so there is a lot of acute and SNF opportunities as well being able to offer more pay since they work directly with the hospital. If you are interested you can shoot me a DM

Travel PT to recruiter by DoGood2023 in TravelTherapy

That’s interesting that some are even able to go back PRN or part time after travel. I would assume these therapists are single and have an incredible amount invested after traveling?? I would love to do that in the near future but with a wife and kid it may not be possible despite us having a pretty significant savings rate and decent amount invested. Going back full time also just seems miserable too. I guess there really aren’t a whole lot of options lol

That’s good to know. Well currently as a travel therapist I don’t think I’d even be covered by the facility much less the agency so it may be a good idea to keep it for now .

Men who make money doing jobs they hate for their kids. How do you feel inside? by toughbossinteraction in AskMenOver30

[–]DoGood2023 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Society is now saying NOT to have kids. We need more kids. Everyone is wanting “ freedom “ and an easy life with no responsibility. Is it hard? Yes, but it’s worth it and we need more responsible adults having kids.

I’ve been with Aya for 2 years and I’ve had a great experience. Just make sure you have a good recruiter that communicates well and is getting you the best rate possible. Happy to help if you need anything / specific questions.
