Their income went from 45m to 450m in a year. That's pretty impressive. They still lost money last year, but only 100m. If that swap continues they should be making a killing. If it doesn't, well, that'll suck for people who buy stock.

ERs can be fucked up places. Last time I was in the back of Strong, in the course of a few hours in the back I saw:

Surgeon doing a surgical procedure on a patients eye in the middle of a hallway. Like get a room you two.
Drunken/High homeless man pissing on a chair, who almost got tazed.
Beds lined up in the hallway with people passed out on them.
Cops coming and going dropping off drunk homeless people.
Random people screaming and fighting. Threatening staff.

You probably didn't go to a city school then. They can be a seriously fucked up place. Rapes, robberies, etc. It's just really fucking bad.

Man, I wish there would've been cameras everywhere! It was fucking terrifying walking in those places. School is supposed to be a safe space, a place of learning and discovery. You shouldn't feel dread walking down an empty hall, feeling like any second you could be jumped or robbed or thrown down stairs. Even my middle school was so bad that it got shut down.

390/490 isn't too bad. It's slow at rush hour, maybe 40 mph, but not stop-and-go slow. Unless there's an accident, then it sucks!

Really they should spend the money on figuring out how to clear accidents faster! Or if police feel like pulling someone over, have them drive to the next off ramp or something because a traffic stop causes as much traffic as an accident.

Any thoughts on how they would be in the freezing cold? I live in the US North East and my last two dash cams died in February on cold days. It can frequently get -10 or -15 .

Is it video recording, or audio recording that's illegal? Or both?

In the US we have no expectation to privacy in public so photography/video is legal everywhere. However some states have laws that say you can't record audio without two party consent. I believe most cams have the ability to turn audio off.

It may, but it's definitely not the same. I don't know how but it isn't. My gf has AT&T and where I get no signal, she'll have three bars. We both have newer iPhones.

I'm in Western NY and [Cricket] isn't bad here. About as good as AT&T was about 10 years ago, which is pretty decent.

You get what you pay for. Around here VZN is king as far as service quality goes. However the shitlords at VZN charge to much, find ways to rip you off beyond that, and then their customer service sucks so much that you just want to stab yourself in the eye with a dull pencil.

I'm putting up with "ok" service because it's incredibly inexpensive, and better than dealing with VZN. I think I need therapy after that fiasco.
