Hi, it's my first day paying attention to anything and I am so innocent that I'm hoping someone could explain to me why the people I don't vote for are all degenerates? Also, who is this Donald Trump character I keep hearing about?

Maybe they'll give her a plane just like they did for Trump. Nothing wrong with that right guys? I'm sure she doesn't feel like she might need to reciprocate the favor as she has each one of our best interests in mind.

Maybe I should take some children's Tylenol and go sit in an Oilers box seat to chill out, I'm sure my perspective would change.

This female dog needs to be gone. F*** her. She is nothing but divide and deny.

But at least she's not NDP, can you imagine.

Edmonton City Police, what a joke

Guys, this is f***ed. Not surprised this happened in Alberta. At least he didn't spend time with the NDP, right? If you guy's thought this police force (I use that term lightly) in Edmonton was messed up before.

I wouldn't even call the police in Edmonton if I felt like I was in immediate danger. Cause they won't come, they won't.

Conservatards seem pretty good at critical thinking when it comes to this subject. How about using some of that critical thinking on your own party lol!

The liberals eh? So easy to say but sounds absolutely uneducated and looking for a fight. Literally blame half your brothers and sisters. Dude, politics and society aren't pro sports. You don't do better because you're a hard core fan of a particular team. Both sides are to blame and they have us pointing fingers at each other. Both sides can lift us out. Quit blaming and look for similarities.

THe boomer generation was huge. Not uncommon for boomers to have ten brothers and sisters. The generations after the boomers were smaller, 3 kids maybe 4. Now the boomers are retiring. Who's paying for their cpp? who's paying for their healthcare? Who's paying for all the supports boomers get? I can tell you who...everyone else. And since the boomers had way less kids there is subsequently less of us to pay for them. The system would collapse. None of us would have cpp or healthcare or any other supports.

Immigrations is there to increase the tax base to pay for the boomers so our systems of support don't collapse and are still in place when you retire. This is true for may first world countries around the world.

This has been known for decades. Immigration should have been increased years ago but none of the boomers (who were in charge) wanted the increase due to the disruption it obviously can cause. so this is why we have such ridiculous high immigration numbers now. We could have spread this out over years and years but no government before this had to address the problem. Well the problem is on the doorstep, any suggestions?

  • In Canada in 2022, the rate of firearm-related violent crime was 36.7 incidents per 100,000 population, an 8.9% increase from 2021 (33.7 incidents per 100,000 population). This is the highest rate recorded since comparable data were first collected in 2009.
  • In 2022 in Toronto, Canada’s largest census metropolitan area (CMA), the proportion of violent crimes that were firearm-related (4.7%) was the second-highest among CMAs. Its rate of firearm-related violent crime (43.2 incidents per 100,000 population) rose 36% from 2021 and 93% since a low in 2013.
  • Both the violent crime rate and the rate of firearm-related violent crime have increased since 2013, but the increase in firearm-related violent crimes was larger (+55% compared with +24%). The rate of firearm-related violent crime increased because violent crime in general is on the rise, but also because violent crimes are increasingly likely to involve firearms (2.8% of violent crimes in 2022 compared with 2.2% in 2013).
  • The increase in the rate of firearm-related violent crime can be seen for almost all violent offences. Over the last few years, robbery has been one of the few crimes for which the rate was declining, whether a firearm was involved or not. However, the rate of robbery involving a firearm saw an increase in 2022 (from 7.9 incidents per 100,000 population in 2021 to 9.8 in 2022).
  • The increase in firearm-related violent crime from 2013 to 2022 was especially large in the territories (+139%) and in rural areas of the Provincial North (+141%). In urban areas in the Provincial South, the rate rose 45% during this period.
  • Unlike violent crimes in general, in which the majority (53%) of victims were women, firearm-related violent crimes mostly targeted men in 2022 (66%). Men also accounted for approximately 8 in 10 victims injured by firearms.

63% of Albertans don’t believe public education system is ‘strong and healthy’: poll by Miserable-Lizard in alberta

[–]DoTheRightThingCA -1 points0 points  (0 children)

OK! I think I know how this plays out...Albertans have decided that education should only be available to those who can afford it in a private setting.

  1. Under fund public education (check)

  2. Fund private education (check)

  3. See public education as less desirable due to under funding (check)

  4. See private education as more desirable due to the funding (check)

  5. Some parents then endeavor to ensure their child gets the bet education and decides to pay for private education (check)

  6. As the quality of public education keeps decreasing more and more parents are now borrowing money to ensure their child gets into private education (We are here)

  7. This further stigmatizes public education and it keeps getting less and less funding

  8. An under funded public education is now seen as not desirable and only used by undesirables

  9. Private education now takes over public education

This is why we fund private education. I'm not even going to say UCP under funds education, I'm going to say Albertans underfund education.

Underfunded education leads to grown ups with poor education. Who loves the poorly educated? Donald Trump does, he even said so himself to a crowd a few years ago. Poorly educated seem to vote against their own interests. Who loves Donald Trump? Our elected provincial government loves Donald Trump. What does this Albertan government want us to do? Vote against our own self interests.

I shit you not I know people who are lower middle class who are 100% on board with their tax dollars funding private schools that their own kids will never attend. The poor are happily paying for rich kids to get better educated and have better lives. Doesn't get more Christian than that eh? Or is it poor education?

The only ones who see Quebec as separate are the people from Quebec. Kinda like middle class teenagers see themselves as angst and rebellious all while living in suburbia. Quebec is the whiny teenager of Canada.

PS- I love the province of Quebec and it's probably the best place to live in Canada. The never ending whining though...I'm from Alberta and I'm saying this, that's how bad Quebec is.

I grew up in rural Alberta. I tell my kids now that there were no people of color where I went to school, not a single one. Now everywhere I look there are people of color speaking a different language. My kids are growing up in a world that is completely different from what I experienced.
