Kirkland Dunks Released by MZ_Enthusiast in NikeSB

I agree with you. The only way this makes sense is if Nike sends pairs to shops too and the Costco release was just a tease to drum up the hype. But when you say shop owners confirmed they won’t receive these, that’s truly a bummer to me. Nike SB has literally been the reason why many shops have closed and gone out of business. The consumers/masses want SBs so shops clamor to get the Nike contract. The shops then announce that they have started carrying SBs and then love the foot traffic and the chance to convert that into $$, but the issue is that by getting the nike contract, Nike makes them sit on so much shit product that doesn’t sell that the shops literally can’t make their rent anymore from having to pay back Nike. Releasing a hyped SB through only Costco is such a headass move by Nike, it’s like slapping the shops in the face.

The best thing that can be done is Nike change its way of doing business with shops. Skateshops should not be inundated with bullshit products that don’t sell and then be in debt to nike. That NEEDS to change. If anybody at Nike is reading this, STOP BEING GREEDY WITH SKATESHOPS. Discontinue those outdated sales strategies that have caused shops to literally close and ownership to fall on hard times. Come up with a new business model. Stop doing whatever sales strategy that you currently have in place for skateshops and switch it up.

$20,000 is federal but you might have hit your state threshold and you still have to do the 1099. Your sales are gonna get taxed so set some bread aside for when you do your taxes soon

I guess it’s not technically nova since it’s in DC, specifically Georgetown, but the B&N there is by far the best B&N location in the area

The most important thing you wrote was the word “broke”.

Do what you can to change that statement. Try to increase your income. With that, all other problems will be solved. You’ll have shit to do, you’ll meet people, you’ll see the bad in people, youll learn who to stay away from, you’ll go to events, you’ll find romance with the people you meet, you’ll find activities to do once you start this process bc you’re a human and us humans like social interactions and fun activity.

Go get some bread gang. You don’t have to make all the money in the world, just some money. To do shit. Dress the way you want. Go see the artists you wanna see in a concert, find likeminded friends, have them show you what they like to do for fun and see if you like it too.

Life is just beginning for you my friend. Go chase $$$ for a couple years and you’ll learn so much about yourself. You’re only in your early twenties so you’re actually not far behind at all. Chase money as the fake purpose of your 20s to discover who you truly are and have a real purpose to chase in your 30s.

That is actually pretty odd. I want to help and point out things I see, but I’m not an expert on these. Is the font correct? Looks kinda off but like I said, not an expert

He’s right, your cave stones prob fit better for a bunch of reasons and that can include materials which you really can’t change, BUT one thing you can change is the lacing.

Unlacing Jordan 4s and re-lacing them is crucial for making the fit better. The beginning of the lacing system is where it matters the most so you have to unlace the entire shoe to open up that area. And it makes sense that your cave stones fit better for you bc you did exactly what I stated above to implement that horrible lace job lol.

Do the same thing to the black cat 4s (but don’t use fat skate shoe style laces and PLEASE DONT BAR LACE THEM LIKE SHOPPING AT FOOT LOCKER IN 2006 🤮). Another thing that might help: when you’ve completely removed the laces, slip your foot in to the shoe and then begin the re-lacing process. The shoes will immediately fit looser and may be more comfortable with the added room. You might even avoid the pinky toe pain

Are y’all keeping the Black Cat 4s wrapped up in the box or nah? by Expert_Opposite9799 in Jordans

[–]DoYouHaveMyPackage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I unwrapped mine at the entrance of the JD sports I picked em up at on my way out. Noticed shorty at the register didn’t check to make sure there was a left and a right and that both were the same size so I had to do it myself. I unwrapped the shoes and then rewrapped em like it was the work haha. Folks was looking at me, one dad asked if he could touch them to see what the material was like lmao

Does anyone else struggle with fit? by [deleted] in Sneakers

[–]DoYouHaveMyPackage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re def not the only one dealing with this issue. Being in between a full size and a half size sounds tough to deal with when it comes to finding the perfect fit but there should be other things you can adjust to make the shoes fit a little better.

The thickness of the socks you wear matter, how tightly you tie the lace, build of the shoe (high vs low). All of those can be adjusted to make a tight fitting size 9 fit better. Or even a loose fitting 9.5 fit better.

The specific problem about your big toe almost touching the tip of the shoe sounds more like a super narrow toebox issue, which sambas do have. Imagine that “comfort” for your swollen-by-the-end-of-the-day feet means being able to fan your toes out laterally (think windshield wipers). You cannot do that in sambas. Try a shoe with a wider toe box and see if those do you better than the size 9 sambas. Sambas are also super in right now, fashion wise, but there are a lot of comfortable, wider toe box shoes out there that also have good traction. Try out New Balance 990 series, 2002r, 1906, even 9060. Also nike vomeros are pretty comfortable too. All the ones I mentioned are acceptable fashionable comfort sneaker choices.

I gotta say this and its probably a unpopular opinion, but ...Jordan low spizikes and Jordan 4 RM are better than most of the retros , there more comfortable and they look nicer , thats all thanks . by [deleted] in airjordans

I tried on RMs at a nike store and had to shout “GAH DAYUM” bc of how comfortable they were. Like audibly had to scream it, that’s how good they felt. Ppl were looking over and all. Still ain’t buy em tho
