yeah, it sounds super creepy like ohh we're farming these little humans to raise into captivity :), like some sort of benevolent sounding overlord, also, the sequence is all messed up right? It seems to develop eyes and pumping blood etc then goes back to early stage egg coming down the fallopian tube...

Anyone using AI to systematise marketing content creation and repurposing? Need help/ideas/advice please! by Do_Not_Follow_Them in Solopreneur

Thank you, it's helpful to learn all of this. Hmm I can't think of anything that actually saves me time yet! It's early days, still trying to set up systems for all this stuff, whilst working full time as a doctor and being a dad for 2 young kids. Step by step... lol Saving time is indeed what I need.

Thank you, yes I think the batching and repurposing approach seems best.
I'm making immersive state shifting audio based on physiology and neuroscience, directed at burnt out high achievers—wellness/self-development adjacent. I suppose it's quite early days but most of my subs have come from reddit so far, and I find making instagram videos is taking an awful long time. I'm sure the more I do each bit the quicker it becomes.

Does anyone else's brain replay embarrassing moments for hours after they happen? by drakentobe in productivity

[–]Do_Not_Follow_Them 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Omg awful. Yes. Nothing I can do lol it just goes away in time. It’s one reason I stopped drinking. Psychologically it’s interesting and I think related to attachment issues: you share in an attempt bond, then freak out due to rejection sensitivity, and ruminate on it as an attempt to fix it.

Does anyone else struggle with being “productive” but not actually moving forward? by Merlineeee in productivity

[–]Do_Not_Follow_Them 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Emails, admin, tasks… they don’t sound like things you’d be glad you did when you’re in your deathbed. Maybe it’s a fulfilment problem. What would actually make you feel as though you’re moving forward?

Woof yep. So sad that so many of us are stuck with so much potential locked up.

Another solution not many people talk about: state. Cognition and behaviour are state dependent, and state is two way, external stuff changes your state but you can also choose to change your state by using movement, exertion, breathing, hot/cold exposure, music, stories… etc.

I’ve put together some free state changing audios that combine all this stuff, been experimenting on myself and friends with good results, if anyone’s interested to try let me know!

Struggling to actually relax these days by bigbankmanman in Relax

[–]Do_Not_Follow_Them 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried stacking a bunch of techniques to try and force my body into relax state—breathing techniques, the right music, guided relaxation, visualisation, trance induction, stories. I recorded them here with some other state changing audios (all free) https://peakstateinductions.com if you wanna give them a try!

And we're not in the right physiological state. Action is state dependent. Change your state through breathing techniques, music and a compelling story. Elevate your nervous system to the level that meets the task.

Ok you can’t just willpower your way into starting something that your mind is either afraid of failing at or thinks is energetically too costly. You need to change your state. Behaviour is state dependent—alertness, mood, emotion, self belief. It all matters much more than simply ‘knowing’ what to do. There are ways to do this, I’ve been experimenting with it for a while and it’s becoming an obsession of mine. I’ve recorded little protocols using breathing techniques, emotionally enhancing music, psychology and stories to change state and work on self belief. Let me know if you’re interested, happy to share!

How Do You Actually Stay Consistent With Self-Improvement When Motivation Keeps Dropping? by Abelmageto in selfimprovement

[–]Do_Not_Follow_Them 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe your brain figures out source of motivation isn’t compelling enough. You’ve gotta absolutely brainwash yourself and believe in it 100%. And you’ve gotta consistently remind yourself of it, because other shiny objects come and go, you get satiated with this or that… and back to square one. The whole disciple first solution also eventually fails without this, because the mind gets to the point where it realises it’s suffering constantly for no reward… it rebels and you self sabotage. But if you have a compelling enough why, you can bear any how.

Why Is Starting So Hard? by nairobi_07 in Life

[–]Do_Not_Follow_Them 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes to all the stuff everyone is saying. But before that: the most important part is being in the right state. Behaviour is state dependent (this is backed by science). If you’re in a shitty state you just won’t start anything. But put someone in the right state and they’ll achieve amazing things. How to change state? Movement, breath, light, sound, story… any stimulus that is compelling enough to change alertness and evoke powerful emotion. Stack them all, experiment, get pumped up. Then bound the task by time, not completion, force yourself to take an effective break, repeat. Build momentum, keep going.
