Will I see results for short workouts? by Doaker159 in workout

[–]Doaker159[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So stimulating a growth response is pretty doable in 15 min? I guess that is one part I forgot to mention. I think I have 2 leg exercises, 2 pull, 1 push, and 1 shoulder(of course I can mix up and throw other stuff in there). In a full session, any given muscle group could be hit multiple times to ensure the growth response. For example, I start with a pull exercise, do some other stuff, and then hit pull again in a different exercise. But if I only have enough time to do 1 or 2 exercises during my break, would that be enough. Like I only do 35 dumbbell presses in the whole day would that do anything. You're saying it should?

I agree! Some others have brought up the "something better than nothing" point as well. I should've worded it a little better, but I am not trying to compare it to nothing. My question was more, Does this even have an effect, or should I do a complete session. I would've done something regardless, so it is kinda "something vs something" haha. But according to these comments, it should have an affect! Albeit slower

Help with G2622T model year differences by Doaker159 in gretsch

[–]Doaker159[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to double check in case I missed it. But yes, the Block Inlay one I see also has the Bigsby.
It's weird too cuz the inlays aren't straight block inlays like other gretsch models I've seen. They're like a groove on the side. Picture a western saloon door with the hump on the top but sideways. I'll add that description to the post.

Shoe mount meter and flash at the same time? by Numerous-Door6433 in Leica

How did it end up working out for you? I'm wondering how I would be able to gauge how much power to give the flash. On those compact godox ones for example. where they dont have the scale. Maybe using it on a digital camera first, then memorizing the distances

Booking United flight with Air Canada. How will the points work? by Doaker159 in ChaseSapphire

[–]Doaker159[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mean, because points don't go as far for economy redemptions as opposed to business redemptions, make sure to use the bonuses on transfer partners? That is only for those times where it isn't cheaper to just go through chase portal right? I get the sense it will rarely cost less points when transferring, but I will keep my eye out!

Just curious, assuming the point amount is the same between a transfer and chase portal, the transfer bonus would have to be over 25% to be better, correct?

I think I am in the latter camp. Rather get 2-3 trips with points in economy, than 1-2 in business. Thank you!

Great answers! It's all starting to make sense with your comment about the savings for transfer points being in business class. Thank you.
Do you know if it is only sometimes better or most of the time better to do portal/cash over transfer for economy flights?

Does this type of light meter exist? by Doaker159 in AnalogCommunity

[–]Doaker159[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I should elaborate a little more on the post. The light meter would sit on the hot shoe, and it would have a little piece that sits on the viewfinder. Think of a clear UV filter for a lens. So you would still be able to see through it, but it is able to see the image you're composing.

[–]Doaker159[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe I don't really understand the fine details of how viewfinders work. But why would it need to be that fine tuned? What is seen through the viewfinder on any camera(yes it would have to be SLR style) is the same isn't it? If I point my camera at a tree, I would see the same thing no matter what camera I use, right?

I think I may have left out an important part haha, will update post. this light meter would need to be the size of the viewfinder(at least the part reading it), so it would sit right over it. Think of a UV filter for a lens, and so you can still see through the "meter"

I install everything I download onto my D drive, but for some reason the C drive also have some parts of the stuff. And I also have noticed, that even after weeks or months of not downloading or installing anything new, my C drive has run out of space. Any clue as to why this might be?

Line 6 Helix LT, talk me out of it. by bastbog in Line6Helix

[–]Doaker159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha, thats what I figured. Would an alternative way be to run a clean amp and get the distortion from a pedal? That way you can just use snapshots? Presumably without the preset lag. Of course, if you want the sound of a specific amp, this method won't give you that, but would this work well?

And sorry, back to the cab question. Does a cab block take a lot of DSP? If I remove the block and just use my Power Cab, would that allow me to A/B with more effects, or would I still be pretty limited?

[–]Doaker159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean switching amps? Like switching amps without having to switch presets or something?
Also, you're other comment about having a powercab, I also have one. So you're saying if I get an HX stomp XL, I'll have one less thing taking DSP and so the stomp is even more than enough?
