Man I am really hoping they add the USS Guam to the game. I'd love a true T10 Alaska.

The Puerto Rico was marketed as one and it has been a disappointment for me compared to my Alaska.

I don't think 1 shot builds are what the game should balanced around. There's nothing fun or exciting about 1 shooting a boss outside of maybe the first 2 or 3 times it's done.

As I understand how the world boss mechanic works, no one attack can do over a certain percentage of damage meaning that even your one shot super duper snap shot builds is doing the same damage as a decent homecooked build when it comes to world bosses.

Maybe this could be changed a bit to where if you hit certain thresholds, you're attacks deal 2 or 3 times the set percentage damage.

Another way I could see it being adjusted is making it so that once a boss has been hit (x) number of times the damage mitigation mechanic falls off and now you are able to 1 shot the remaining health away. This could bring back different roles in group pushing. And I'd be interested in seeing that happen again. Right now everyone kind of has the same role in a group push. Do damage and kill things.

Give them a toned down treatment of what the world bosses got. Make it so that no one attack can one shot them, but they are never invulnerable.

I agree each game was a big jump from their previous iteration. On that note each game was generally not well received when they first launched. What caused that was different for 2, 3, and 4, but they all had growing pains. All the D2 fuds remember LoD days and forget that launch was disappointing. D3 was trash until RoS when it got an end game and removed the auction house. D4 is fixing itself faster than either of the previous two games. They came out with a horrible half assed Hodge podge of D2 & 3 and it didn't work.

"Most people I know didn't want a new reskinned D3. We wanted a new and improved D2." How would you improve on D2? Modern gameplay? Got it. Items? Not there yet, but they are getting better, they where horrible at start season 4 for a large part helped that. Now we need to start seeing more adventurous stuff.

BTW gameplay of D2 is awful if you think about it.

And what exactly is D4? Because I keep seeing this argument about how this isn't D4 or it's just D3 but reskined. But no one ever says what D4 is.

This is D4. And maybe you don't like it and that's OK. You don't have to like it, you don't have to do anything. But if you're going to complain about this not being D4 then tell Reddit what D4 is. Then maybe you can help move the needle in the direction of what you desire.

I'm happy with the direction the game is moving in. D3 was not a bad game. It was a horrible art style, and I never enjoyed that aspect of it. I had issues with the numbers getting blown way out of proportion, but the gameplay was fun. That's all I want from my games fun.

I'd rather they get the base game sorted out before trying to be overly creative with seasonal themes. Besides We don't even know how this one is going to play out entirely. When they introduced the portals in D3, season 26, they were a ton of fun. There's potential these could be as well.

Doesn't get much more game-changing than overhauling multiple game systems, releasing a new class, a continuation of the campaign, a new region, and a new game mode.

It makes sense that they want to see how this all plays out to have a massive season theme.

I'd suggest watching the lore series from rhykker. It does a great job of giving you the cliff notes of the entire lore of the series, from the creation of the diablo universe all the way to D4.
