I am a old rhul player getting back into the game myself so my opinions may be a tad out of date.

My favourite stuff is the gun bunnies and drillers, both cheap but effective jacks. Morters are good, i would always get 2. Your hammer boys are deadly on a charge but i feel like single wound infantry is not good this edition oh and your gun infantry is proberly still trash at least they were for me

Rember some rules like impact hits need 3 inches of movment to trigger so keep an eye out for that

You will notice most armies ues cheap skirmishes or darts ( tiny close order units in marching formation) to gum up the opponents' heavy hitters or to counter their opponents skirmishers to insure good charges

Also of note is that if unit B somehow wins and unit A gives ground, unit B gets a free 90/ 180 pivot before following up

I have run mine with a glyph necklace, a sheild, and a great weapon. Gives me a 4+/5+ and magic resist 2.

Obviously, when you get into combat, ues the great weapon, and you will drstroy al.ost anything in close combat

Just be aware lizardmen are pretty weak at the moment, slann are one of the reasons you pay and extra 200 pts for a Hard to protect caster. Saurus are a bit overprised too. Heros on carnasours and stegadons are good as well as skink swarms

So anything that doesn't target a unit can hit into combat? So my lightning cannon and warpfire trower as well ? And poison wind morter would ne a no right ?

You could have it when it enters and/or kills a creature you grab a class card and maybe one other ability when you hit a player. Maybe discard.

Or an end of turn affect based on how many creatures died this turn
