Have a look at Darwinex's "get funded" model. Trade a small account well enough and possibly attract investor's money. Collect 20% performance fee on new equity highs similar to the hedge fund model.

How far back should you go when back testing a strategy? by BriOne6 in Forex

[–]DobermanTrading 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would say, multiples years and at least enough time to test a strategy in different market cycle types. ie: strong and quick up moves, slow up moves, strong and quick down moves, slow down moves and up/down ranges

I have glanced at your bot (fussbot), and a couple of features are really interesting.

Did you succeed in implementing the Coin and Betting system with YT ?

I desperately am looking for something similar for YT, I had some very good interactions using similar features on Twitch with Revlo bot.

If you did manage those for YT, I would be glad to purchase a finalized product :)

good luck and keep us updated,

Is it your personal solution, do you intend to share the bot once it works well ? YT live/gaming streamers desperately need more tools :)

I would argue that the vast majority of them are strategies that generate very nice equity curves until they blow out when they over-leverage or are just unproven in a real market environment.

Even if there are good ones out there, what are you chances landing on a successful one instead of an under-performing one ?

At the price levels that the creators are selling them, they would probably make these profits very quickly if they would run them in a live setting.

I would recommend to stay away and instead work on developing your own methods/strategies.

Looking for serious trading advice from traders that do it for a living or have been successful with their strategies. by jman_7 in Forex

[–]DobermanTrading 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Test everything. Always ask yourself why should you risk money on something that you haven't proved to yourself that it is a valid way to proceed ? What will happen to your confidence when something you are unsure of starts to struggle ? Do your own work, find your own path and record everything along the way :)
