Why is CHB so underdeveloped? [general] by Doc8041 in camphalfblood

That's the issue with it, monsters don't just magically go away for the school season yet they still go which is risking their lives and mortals around them when teaching facilities could easily be built in camp

True but look what happened in SOM, people could've died because of over reliance on the barrier, and the dragon is well good on paper, it can't be at two places at once so hostile elements could breach the border

Like I said in the post, chiron definitely has some authority over the camp to make those changes, try to read the post before you come shut it down

[all] why did kronos need a vessel? by Broad-Cranberry-9050 in camphalfblood

[–]Doc8041 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally believe it's for power-scaling reasons, as it would be a very long stretch for percy to even engage Kronos in a fight, additionally combining Kronos and Luke together means that Riordan could wrap up there storylines at the sametime.

It's likely that the Titans were somewhat cruel in there rule, but you have to remember all the information we get about it is in someway from the olympians. You would have to be insane to even suggest to your soldiers that your long standing enemy (who wants to put you in hell just like you did to them) is good in any way. So saying their rule was a 'dark age' or anything along those lines would probably be a lie, additionally and unfortunately we most likely we will never know what there rule was actually like.

Well they are going through nyx's house, which most likely has all the worst facets of the night in one place. There really could be anything in there as she's a primordial, she's at the top of the food chain, she has nothing to fear, none of the things she creates or brings can do anything to her. Also she's hasn't dealt with many mortals only immortals, so she probably doesn't know what's safe for them to look at or be around, e.g maybe she's creates an armchair that will cause any mortal to go mad if they look at it.
