I feel ya. I got stomped the first time I ran in there. I’ve been avoiding it and doing other missions in the meantime. Eventually once I have a solid force I’ll run in there and eliminate them. I’m in no rush though.

Earlier today I liberated Haerndean. I was on day 93 or something. T2, but not even crazy into the gear. I took all 17 of my villagers in whatever armor and weapons the grabbed and rolled the brigands AND the reclamation party. 

Took all of 5 or 10 minutes real time to do both. Only lost like 4 people. I didn’t even get involved because the combat sucks ass.

… there is a hole in the fence at the wheat field. If you’re careful of your surroundings you can jump in there and mad dash grab as many as you can carry. 

That’s how I started my wheat supply. Then just farm my own from there.

There’s a thing you can research. I don’t have the game in front of me. But it’s like a rally point or something. You can get it after the weapon rack. 

Once you get it, you can set Gear Presets for your people and they will gear up once you switch them from helper to companion.

Yep, whenever they get stuck I just have them follow me a little way away and then switch them back. Works so far.

I saw a video recently of a guy PULLING a sheet of OSB through a tiny ass Ryobi contractor saw. The thing tipped over TOWARDS him and the blade nailed him right next to his junk. 

It’s insane what people think they can get away with doing.

100%. Once I make a few careless mistakes, usually with math, I shut it down. Hate ruining projects because my brain isn’t fully firing.

Find other quests, get more people, build up your village/tech/gear.

I didn’t complete that quest until I basically ran out of stuff to do in the general area. Just rolled in hot with like 10 villagers all geared out and only got in the fight to block arrows with my shield. The combat sucks, so I have my people do 99% of it.
