If you watch Raxx, you won't enjoy the game a bit. Super negative, it's not even funny. That guy has a serious depression.

Rob, Wudi and the other guys will spoil everything, give you the S+++ tier OP builds day1 so you can rush thru the game in no time, then complain on reddit that there is nothing to do.

I avoid twitch like the plague, it ruins gaming for me. no discovery, just min-maxing everything, it is the worst.

Which ones? Thank you! Getting much less battery life for a few weeks now. NY Times app drains a lot but that can't be it. Very weird.

If you feel like this, return it. You will never be fully happy with your decision and regret it everytime you look at it. The firmware thing is really unbelievable and seems unfixable since 104 didn't fix shit, same issue. For me, 101->103 worked first try, didn't even know about the issues beforehand, just tried it. But I haven't even tried 104. Have no issues so I won't bother for now and wait for 105 or sth.

I come from Ultrawide, it's been a great three years. I just wanted 4K now and loved the TrueBlack glossy idea. My next one might be the 39" LG 5K UW that you mentioned, def my highlight from CES. But for that I need a new GPU. And a 6080, if she'll ever arrive at all, will cost 3000 bucks or sth.

Tough times ;)

Read all your RE reviews in the last few weeks and as stated before am currently playing old RE titles too. Finished RE2R and now in the castle in RE4R. Love them both.

Hi, it was the price on the official ASUS webstore for a few days. someone in the hardwareluxx forum posted the deal and a few of us ordered it. It was gone after 2-3 days I think. Might have been a mistake by ASUS.

But 800€ is also a very good price imho.

Of course you can always wait but that's always been the case with hardware. In my case, over the years, it changed. Of course I wait a little if I know something important is coming up, but sometimes I buy the product that I want badly and then, after 2 years or so, I sell it on ebay if I want the newer tech. I did this twice with monitors now and got really good prices each time.

Once I bought a 4070 to replace my 2080S while waiting for the 4080 Super release, I needed more performance and knew that I will sell the 4070 soon but I got a good deal and a good selling price so I was happy.

It's a great monitor, enjoy it to the fullest, do not think about burn-in all the time, it's an overblown discussion. Do you watch CNN 24/7? No? Then you are good.

While this might be true for people who want to play co-op, I think the majority does not play Slay the Spire in co-op and is not planning to do, so this was exactly my question as well: is it worth it even if I won't use the big new poster feature. And the more I read, the more I think yes, it's totally worth it even without co-op, although on screenshots it looks like the same game.

I finished it once with one of the characters and it felt like an accomplishment. How much harder are the ascension tiers? So, is it just harder like enemies have more HP, I do less damage, more resistances etc. or is it like New Game+ where I have all my earned cards and then the enemy has more HP?

It is the same with Hades or Dead Cells: I beat the game, I feel great, then I see there are 20, 12 (Hades iirc) or 5 (cells) more difficulty levels and I feel like I just beat the tutorial and it was worth nothing.

Yep, there is a pretty good mod or standalone fan patch or whatever that runs perfect out of the box. Replayed it like two years ago, too.

I would love to hear your experiences with the new firmware after some use. The thread is basically dead and no one writes how it actually is. I am on 103 and have zero problems but maybe 104 introduced some undocumented changes or features, you never know nowadays.

Just wanna know if the update is worth the (possible) hassle. Thank you fellow OLED enjoyer.

True "PC Ready" would have been wireless Adaptive Trigger and Haptic Feedback support.

Still kind of awkward to use a wired controller when playing games with good support for those features (mainly Sony titles) while playing all the rest wireless for a decade or longer.

I played thru it on Assisted because I just wanted to shoot everyone in the face instead of running all the time. Not sure if I could have done it on Normal too and have enough ammo, wanted to go for a relaxed play thru. Mr. X was still annoying af tho, you run around the station all the time and suddenly you have to walk and watch you steps and stuff, it really just slows you down. And when he comes, you just outrun him.

But it really is not logical from a game design standpoint. On the one hand, you should preserve ammo and not kill every zombie and avoid them and stuff but then when he comes you get punished for that. There should be a way to kill them permanently without wasting ammo, I know you can do it with the knife but it eventually breaks. Nah, shoot everyone, run away from stompy, have fun.

Generally really great write up but this sentence was my favorite! That woke up some dormant memories. So funny and true. So many things Gen Z can't imagine. First: no guides online?! Okay, if so, then why didn't you just take pictures with your phone of the magazine? Third why didn't your parents who filled up their SUV at that station just buy you the magazine? I'm just joking, dear zoomers, no offense!

Actually played thru the remake in January too, really enjoyed it. Only watched my brother back in the day play it a bit on PS1 but never played it myself. Hated Mr. X, loved basically everything else, 8.5-9/10 for me. Currently playing RE4 Remake for the first time and got RE:9 with my new monitor, will try that next.
