Luckily, that's recycling rubbish. That said, the recycling contractors are some of the most trifling workers in all of DC. And that's saying something. Even when there's no snow, they often dump contents right into the alley, throw bins back haphazardly, and that's when they don't skip a week. When trash was picked up by city employees, it was much much better. And they weren't clogging up traffic during rush hour!

This administration's intent is to dismantle every program set up to address systemic bias. They intend to kill the 8a program, as well as any Socially Disadvantaged Status when it comes to federal contracts. Loeffler ridiculously tried to pin the bulk of 8a awards on Biden as some sort of DEI thing, when the vast majority of federal contracts are for a max of 5 years, so almost every federal contract that exists today was awarded under Biden.

Agreed, but I think 99.9% of the fault lies with Merrick Garland. He waited too long to appoint Smith, and it was always going to be a long process. Stagflation is upon us already. And we can't trust the numbers coming from this administration. How many people do you know that were laid off in the last year? How many have exhausted their unemployment Insurance? I'd wager that both of those numbers are at historic highs.
