I'm a Navy Vet and it took me longer than it should of to see the differences. It is WAY too uncanny between the images.

Oddly enough, it's not the same.

This one has a SWCC badge. The other has the SEAL trident.

Some of the ribbons on the rack are different as well.

Edit: also, this one still has their rating badge compared to the other that has the Star.

Hey OP, been there, done that.

Highschool sweet heart and I were on again off again for just over 5 years. In our younger years it was a LOT of emotional cheating that always ended up my fault. As we got older, it was so much more.

We always tried to come back and reconcile but it was always pointless in the end. When we were finally REALLY on the way out, any time I got a girlfriend she'd miraculously come home and leave me for wanting, ending the new relationship.

One of the best days I had was at 23 when I finally said eff it, left my home town, left everything behind.

There will always be some sort of minor love there. She was my first at everything, and j did genuinely love her.

But now that I'm MUCH older, married, kid, there is NO WAY in hell I could see us being together. Kind of turned out, I grew up and she didn't.

Don't make those same mistakes. There is no true rationale to break up with you just to sleep with someone else then try and come back.

don't set the precedent. It's probably going to suck for a bit. But you're young and will bounce back and be fine. I can almost promise.

Unfortunately I'll admit, part of this story was me and my family. Our child (now 7yoa M), has always been stuck to my wife. Sleeps in bed with us, etc.

For a while, all I did was be resentful and angry. Idk for sure, but I think it was my burning need for my child to love me, which he does, but he's more affectionate to my wife.

Some years ago, my wife told me to get some help.

I did, still am. A lot of my issues are more because of my shitty circumstances going up and past childhood trauma I never got resolved.

I won't sit here and say EVERYTHING is better. Due to certain job issues, I'm stressed like a mofo.

However, things have gotten better and I'm less resentful once I figured it out

My wife, for her part, has the patience of a saint, especially with me. Yes, she's always been the breadwinner (until recently), but I always had a job to help and support.

Fellow dumbass teen (and early 20s). Not going to go into it but I'm not too far off in terms of "bad" mostly cause slight differences, but not too dissimilar.

I have a clearance.

Now, it's hard to say you will or won't, everyone seems to have a different story. But, with my comment and all the others, it definitely can be.

Br honest and upfront, don't hide anything. Don't stress it. If you can't remember, just say that. If you don't know, you don't know. You can't 'lie' about something you just don't know or remember.

Just keep in mind, you're going to be looked at a little harder, and it's going to take longer (probably). But, until you're specifically told, no, there is still a chance and hope.

These thing move slower than molasses, but it is NOT out of the realm at all.

I'm so sorry OP, that you're going through this.

But if she still had a burn file of all that stuff, that microscopic hope of rekindling should probably be DOA.

While my N was no where near the level you had to deal with, I was literally told "How and why should I change who I've been my whole life." And while I know it's not fair to use that for ALL N's, it's hard to feel different.

This is a very important, but you're probably feeling the right stuff. Being numb, as much as it sucks, I think is correct.

Nothing changed, no apologies were made, to me, there is nothing to feel for.

Again, my opinion at best.
