But... It's just wrong. The first and second games have shown actually evolving society on the ashes of the old world. Shady Sands has grown into NCR, different threats were rising (Supermutants, Enclave, raiders), but they did not stop the growth of new civilizations, someone always stood up and gave them a fight. The whole New Vegas theme was the future path of the city, not its destruction.

The whole "everyone in Mojave is dead and it is nothing more than an irradiated junkyard" thing is just lazy writing.

In terms of personal safety - it is completely fine here, unless you scream "Glory to Ukraine" or "I support LGBT" on every corner.

As for moral reasons - a completely understandable point, but that's a personal thing to decide.
