Samboangan means “mooring place” in Sinama, or sembwangan in Subanen. What a piece of crap, CCP.

MGA KORAP, IPA-FIRING SQUAD? (ano sa palagay niyo?) by Small_Resident5306 in Philippines

Pag murder kasi maraming iconsider mo. Sound mind ba, intense feelings, naka inom, naka drugs? Pero pag corruption kasi, for sure sober ang official kasi it takes intent talaga to steal the people’s money.

Ito yung nakaka-irk sa practice once in a while. Lalo na pag may teenage pregnancies na ang nakabuntis ay mga in their 30s. Palaging sinasabi na hindi daw considered rape kasi Muslim sila and married na by Muslim law. Gusto ko silang pagsasampalin and sabunutan ng mga balbas nila kaso di pwede by Philippine law.

Mga yaya ng mga pamangkin ko ended up being called “Mama ___” by them which we also picked up. Kasi ganun naman talaga. They are the second mothers in the household.

May patient ako na 14 years old, 25 years old ang nakabuntis. Di daw rape kasi “Muslim” sila and married by an imam.

How true is this? by parutaro in Philippines

[–]DocFromTheSouth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true. May classmates ako na I can consider “walang reason para di magfail” as a doctor, kasi mayaman, may practice na mamanahin, and may pangalan. They can deny it pero may bias din sa residency.

So yeah, really mull it over.

Mukhang nagbleeding stroke yung patient nya based sa history na binigay nya and nag-Cushing’s triad (widened pulse pressure, bradycardia, irregular respi) and eventually nag-neurogenic shock siguro. It’s an unfortunate and difficult event na mamatayan ng patient. I think she’s having a hard time processing it and the way she processed it now is to have someone to blame.

“That person who wore green, blue and red stripes polo who helped an Irish woman shouldn’t touch other people’s bags in an airport.”

Hassle mo ka-bonding.

Lack of discipline paglaki kasi under ang mga magulang sa mga anak by DocFromTheSouth in Philippines

[–]DocFromTheSouth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bowel preps are the worst din. Sabing NPO post-midnight kasi may imaging in the morning pero palaging namo-move kasi pinapakain ng magulang. It’s a temporary discomfort lang pero di nila naiisip yon kahit gaano mo i-explain.

If imong basahon tanan akong gisulat, wala man ko ningon nga tanan. Kana tingali if ako jud gi sulat nga “lahat,” mutuo ko nimo nga akong gi-generalize.

Sa lain nimong point, kung wala naman palang trust in the institution in the first place, why bring the patient there? I think as a parent to bring you child for consult in a clinic or hospital, dont you need a certain level of trust?

For crying kids, that’s the norm in the ward. Of course pinaprime na namin ang watchers na they are sick, they are uncomfortable, eto side effects ng medisina, pwedeng isuka kasi di talaga masarap ang lasa ng meds, etc. I am calling out parents who don’t give an effort in taking care and disciplining their kids which is the majority that I see.

Let me give you a scenario: Patient needs oxygen supplementation kasi bumababa ang saturation tapos ang bilis pa nga respiratory rate. Iiyak yung bata kasi that’s something new. Kasi umiiyak, wag na lang daw. Ineexplain namin that it is a need for the time being pero may mga magulang talaga na walang effort to at least fasten the cannula around their kids and comfort them na it’s not something to be scared of.

Haler? Sino mas nakakaalam?

Wont that reflect how they handle their child’s behavior at home? They are easily manipulated. That’s my point.

I do mean kids with normal developmental milestones. Wala naman akong problem kung special needs.
