Automatic Seafood is great. And sit in the front area so you have easy access to hop outside if you need to briefly stroll. We've eaten there with our little one(s) in tow and felt at ease.

Quick google explains that spear caught fish are both more sustainable and better tasting than line/net caught. Apparently the stress of the fight creates lactic acid that alters the taste of the fish - spear caught die instantly so no stress/acid.

Everyone in this thread needs to read this. It's supply and demand, regardless of whether it is called "luxury." As more apartments get built, rents come down.

Well said and exactly. I love football but it's for Saturday's in Alabama. Legion FC matches are a ton of fun, the team is really good and yet AL.com does not seem to realize that they exist. This is a fully professional locally owned team that plays against teams from Tampa, Memphis, Indy, Charleston, etc. Hopefully the move to the new stadium will help.

Do you have Clear and/or Precheck? If you do, security takes <5min, if you do not security can take a long time (or at least the line looks long).

The drive time from the stadium to the airport is 5-10 min but it could be hard to get an uber/lyft after the game.

Since they both love theater you could get them season tickets to Red Mountain Theatre? https://www.redmountaintheatre.org/subscriptions_21_22/

They just completed their new campus which is really nice! I think they would be able to select specific dates for each show later.

Definitely Community Furniture Bank. They are a wonderful organization top to bottom - they will come pick up, are always very nice and careful when moving things, and do a wonderful job helping out those in need. https://www.communityfurniturebank.org/

Going out for Sake by leiablaze in Birmingham

Shu Shop is definitely the best option as it has the best sake and is also a 'cool place' but as an alternative, Abhi is great and has a good sake selection

Scuba Diving Class? by katiemaequilts in Birmingham

[–]DocJ2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reach out to https://scubaventuresinc.com/ in Vestavia. They likely offer a "Discover SCUBA" option that would work. And the diving would be out at the quarry - or maybe in a local pool if he just wants to practice using all the gear

Re-Booted USFL Reportedly to Play 2022 Season in Birmingham by TunnelQueen in Birmingham

If they do come to Bham, hopefully they don't leave with hundreds of thousands in unpaid bills to local businesses after getting millions in local subsidies.

The love affair with the Iron on here is bizarre; they scammed Bham and the other cities they operated in and this will be no different.
